I have new cluster without license with RF2 redundancy, host failure happens, VM restarted on other host but disk is missing on the vm, is it the expected behavior?

Are you running CE? Or are you running commercial version without license?

But no, this is not expected unless the disk was/is on a RF1 container.

Do you have Replication Factor 1 containers? And was the disk of the VM stored on an replication factor 1 container? And was the replication factor 1 container on the host that went down?

No, when HA failover occurs there is no vm configuration change. PLease involve support to have this problem fixed.

No, this is not the expected behavior. HA will not modify anything on the VM level.

Please check if disk is asisgn though Nutanix Volume or though iSCSI.

Please check in VM disk manager if Disk is offline .
