How to move VM from 2008 Hyper-v to AHV

Good Day, I am new to Nutanix, so this may be a very simple question to answer. How do you move VMs on hyper-v 2008 to AHV. The AHV version is 20170830.270. I thought of Nutanix Move, but move does seem to support hyper-v 2008. Any guidance would be welcome, thank you.

Migrate VM from VMware vSphere 6.7 to AHV

Hello, I want to migrate vm from vmware vsphere 6.7 to AHV. When i create source and target i find that connections to vcenter and ahv are ok. But, number discovered vm's on vsphere is 0 and "create a migration plan" button is greyed out. What is a problem? xtract 2.0.2. Regards, Mindaugas

Migrating VMs from vSphere RDM

I am preparing to migrate several Windows Server VMs from VMware vSphere into Nutanix. Xtract Error: Snapshot hierarchy is too deep..

Hi everyone, I tried to setup lab for migrade UVM from ESXi 6.5 to AHV 5.10 using Xtract VM. After data seeding completed I select to cutover VM. However, migration was failed with error "Failed to create VM snapshot 'XTRACT-VMSnap-31'. Error: Snapshot hierarchy is too deep.." So, I've checked in snapshot manager and found many snapshot was create by Xtract tools. Does anyone face this issue before? How did you solve this problem? Thank you. Move 3.0.2 with Hyper-V

I used an older version of Move back in September to migrate out ESXi VMs to AHV, and now with the GA release of Hyper-V with v3.0.2 I figured I'd give that a go. I just deployed 3.0.2 and attempted to add my Hyper-V box and it connects, however, it's not inventorying any VMs. I have 6 running VMs on this box so I'm not sure what the issue is. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Xtract: change password

I am looking for a solution to change the web GUI password of the user nutanix in Xtract 2.0.3. In the doc I only see how to change it during the first login. I have already opened a ticket with support. But there I was told to redeploy the Xtract VM to change the password. This is not really a solution for me to spend all the time again to have all configured just to have another password. Can someone help me with that?

permssions Required for Xtract AWS user

Hi We're trying to move a couple of servers from AWS to out Nutanix cluster. I keep running into "access denied" to various resources on AWS when trying to add it as a source. What are the minimum permissions / role for the IAM account?? Does anyone have a custom policy in JSON format?? thanks

Error to install VirtIO on Windows Server 2016 Standard

I tryed to run xtract but I'm facing a problem to install the VirtIO tools. Using the automatic script on xtract it's end with the error: "ExitCode: '1603'". If I try to install VirtIO manually the show this message "ended prematurely because of an error. Your system has not been modified".
