Hello,I am desperate, I have 2 disks and the USB stick with the ISo on my server.If I now want to install Nutranix, I get to the disk selection, but even if I assign the disks to the respective letters, only Phoenix ISO is still mounted at the endThen the install aborts and I can go back to the disk selection.If I enter H,C, or D, the system says either I need SSD's, or I must have 2 disks, which I have.Do I need ESXI on the server, not really if I use the AHV version?

Ok, let’s get straight into the topic. On one of our VMs, we had 3 local disks and 5 NICs and we intended to remove 4 of the 5 NICs, which are no longer necessary. Instead of deleting the NIC in the last row, a disk in the last row has been deleted and no, a snapshot of the VM has unfortunately not been created. Is there any possibility to recover the deleted VM disk from this specific VM with AHV/CVM command line? Thanks in advance for any help! Regards,Didi7

I’m fairly new to AHV and Prism.  We’ve been running Nutanix for a few years but our hosts are running ESXi.  We’re setting up a new cluster with AHV and we’re planning to migrate everything there.  One issue we have is that some hosts have the NVIDIA GPU card in them.  In Vmware, I have affinity rules so that the VMs that use the GPU will only run on the hosts that have the GPU card.  Can I do the same thing with AHV?  Going through KB articles, I get mixed messages. One KB article flat out says that it’s not supported.

Hiya - I’m just wondering how do I go about (who do I ask :)) getting HPE hardware in the Nutanix sizer ? By default the sizer only has NX hardware and it’s my understanding that adding additional nodes (from the likes of HPE/Dell) can be enabled  Thank you muchly :)

Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to amend the subnet associated to the NIC of multiple VMs via Powershell or API. Reading the documentation on PowerShell it appears this is maybe not possible without deleting the NIC and adding it. When attempting this via the API I am getting incorret uuid errors even though they are copied straight from the NIC.Many thanks,R

Can I also set the system so that I no longer need the 2nd USB stick?now the system needs this as a boot medium

Hello! I’ve heard much fun and nice about nutanix and wanted to give it a go on a DELLEMC PE T40.However installation stops due to not being able to illuminate chassis LEDS.I’ve been lookin into this: https://svenbergendahl.com/resolve-intel-nuc-12th-gen-network-adapter-issue-during-nutanix-ce-installation However seems like this driver is not loaded and the problem seems to be elsewhere.

In my lab cluster, I first activated Microservices. Then, I created a VPC followed by setting up an Overlay subnet. Finally, I attached my VMs for internal communication. However,: the VMs aren't acquiring IP addresses on the subnet configured within the Overlay subnet. Nice day nutanix community, A customer needs to upgrade his hypervisor but, for compliance reasons they cannot create a web server and request the internet access could take too much time. Coud it be possible upload a package directly to a cvm and then upgrade the cluster?

Hi Anyone help me on below quarry, I am little confession while deploying the File Server i have seen two options are one is client network and storage network.for client network we are taking  new three ips in the the client ip rangeand for storage network we are taking Four ips which are the new ip in the cvm rangehere …?which vlans should use for client network..?which vlans should use for storage network..? it would be appreciated if someone explain this as soon as possible. 

I have a VM which has been moved to AHV from Hyper-V. It’s Windows 2019 Standard  After a WSUS update and reboot it will - without fail - boot with the second drive disabled. When I right click and enable the drive everything is fine, I reboot again to get a proper startup of SQL because the SQL data and program files are on that volume.I have another server with two volumes that’s also a migrated Hyper-V VM, the only difference being the OS version. NGT is fine and the Nutanix drivers are hopefully up to date.At this point I am struggling to work out where to look for additional diagnostic information. I’ve looked through the logs and nothing jumps out… And as I said a regular reboot is fine. As far as I know WSUS is not doing driver updates.Can anyone point me at more useful diagnostic data.

I would like to know what the root cause for this Warning Alert. It occurs on the day i was patching the LCM to version 2.7.1 .  The Warning alert is Maximum supported HDD/Total capacity installed on hybrid nodes.
