We are facing performance issues with Nutanix volumes configured with Oracle RAC physical nodes. The latency is very high (25-30 ms).  Anyone has any suggestions on this.

Hi all expert,I have question on vdisk and volume group on VMpros and cons using vdisk? pros and cons using volume group?Let have a discuss on which is better for daily operation and maintenance. 

I have a question regarding private networks.  I have an NFS share that resides in the 192.168.20.x network, however my Nutanix public (Internet access) network is in the 10.10.2.x.  I need to create a network where my VM can talk to the NFS server.  I’ve reviewed some YouTube videos but they’re not very helpful.  Any better documentation out there?

Been having oplog errors for nearly 5 months now. I have read through the article: NCC Health Check: oplog_episode_count_check and I have been able to get the vdisk_id. Can a Nutanix Storage node contain more secondary VM copies than what would fit into the existing capacity on the cluster nodes disk? and if yes, how does one bring the storage node down for maintenance?  

The network panel in ESXTOP has a few metrics that will enable you to determine issues such as loss of network on a VM or high dropped packet on specific nics. Is there support for Cloudstack and Nutanix or drives for it to run.

I’m relatively new to Powershell and have been looking for the cmdlet get the Role Mapping information from a cluster. I’ve no issues connecting using Powershell I just cant find the correct cmdlet which will allow me to get the Role Mappings. My apologies if I haven’t placed this is the correct group.

There are times, when we need to move a vm disk to a different container on the same AHV Cluster.For e.g. : We may want to move this VM Disk on a container with De-Dupliction Disabled. To relocate a virtual machine’s disk to a different container on the same AHV cluster, following steps are required:Requirements for the Move:Source Container ID (where the vmdisk is located originally) Destination Container ID (our target container on the same cluster) VM Disk(s) UUID (UUID of each disk we need to move “acli vm.get <vm-name>”) Power-off the VMSummary of Steps:Determine the vmdisk_uuid of each virtual disk on the VM. Make sure the VM for which the VMdisk we are migrating is powered off. Use the Acropolis Image Service to clone the source Virtual Disk(s) into Image(s) on the target container. Attach the disk from the Acropolis Image(s) which created in Step 3 to the VM. Remove the VM disk that is hosted on the original container Optional: Remove the cloned VMdisk from image services

The storage usage reaches 95% and some windows VM (2016 2019)down.AHV hypervisor 20170830.395After release the disk space many VMs should be repaired.Questions:AHV will shut down VM when the capacity reaches 95% ?  If user reboot VM when it is 95% , will it make  the VM data disks crashed ?

We have Nutanix SX-1065-G5 with 3 nodes, every node have 4*16GB, and we need to add 64GB to every node. Is it possible to add 4*16GB for every node ?RAM : C-MEM-16GB-DDR4-2400

I’d like to rename the host name on a single-node cluster - assuming that I update the name in the /etc/sysconfig/network and /etc/hostname files, I guess I would also need to stop/start the acropolis service. I know this is safe to do on a 3-node cluster but is there are risk/impact with a 1-node cluster?

Hello,I was hoping to get some clarification as to what features are included in AOS Starter.  I usually use the following link as a guide:Nutanix Software Editions & Licensing: Solutions to Run on Our AppliancesThe above link states that “Basic Compression (LZ4) - Inline and post process” are included starter.  However as soon as I enable post compression I get a license violation notice.  In prism element it also shows the available features for starter and post compressions shows as yes:Is post compression available in Starter? Also the link states that lz4hc compression is not available for Starter but running the following command on a starter clusters show it is available and compressing data:curator_cli display_data_reduction_report Has something changed to make lz4hc available to starter? Is there another document or link with a comprehensive list of features available for each edition? Thanks,--Zip
