I have expanded the existing block by adding two 1065-G8 nodes, each equipped with three HDDs and two SSDs. However, the new nodes, along with the HDDs and SSDs, are not being recognized, and there appears to be no power supplied to them. I am currently seeking Nutanix documentation on hardware installation but have not found relevant information yet. any idea?
Hello team,Always in learning Nutanix that’s totally new for me, I performed some tests today. One of those was to remove a disk to check if system will still be up. And… no :)All the CVM is crashed because it don’t find the removed disk.I have a Nutanix CE with a single node cluster. Is Nutanix storage pool not working as a RAID (1 or 5?) by default? Is there something to configure? Coming from VMWare, I make the comparison. On my ESXi I can lost one disk as I’m protected by the RAID-5 of the Raid-controller. Should I also use a RAID-5 for Nutanix? I read that disk must be in RAID-0 and Nutanix will protect it. How protect my single node cluster from a single disk failure?I certainly misunderstand or misconfigure something. Thanks for you help ! PS: The disk I removed was not one of those declared for the CVM during the installation, it’s a “Data” disk.

Hi again.So i did my fresh installation, and at long last the password worked.Now, i can access the https://ip-of-cvm:9440, but only using “Internet Explorer”Any other browser will say something like this:“IP” usually uses encryption to protect your information. This time when Microsoft Edge tried to connect to “IP“, the site returned unusual and incorrect credentials. This can happen when a hacker tries to impersonate “IP” or a Wi-Fi login screen has disconnected. Your information is still safe because Microsoft Edge disconnected before any data was exchanged.You can't visit “IP” right now because the site has sent encrypted credentials that Microsoft Edge can't process. Network failures and attacks are usually temporary, so this page will probably work again later. And using “Internet Explorer” it seems like a lot of virual elements arent displayed correctly.

Hello,I am desperate, I have 2 disks and the USB stick with the ISo on my server.If I now want to install Nutranix, I get to the disk selection, but even if I assign the disks to the respective letters, only Phoenix ISO is still mounted at the endThen the install aborts and I can go back to the disk selection.If I enter H,C, or D, the system says either I need SSD's, or I must have 2 disks, which I have.Do I need ESXI on the server, not really if I use the AHV version?
Ok, let’s get straight into the topic. On one of our VMs, we had 3 local disks and 5 NICs and we intended to remove 4 of the 5 NICs, which are no longer necessary. Instead of deleting the NIC in the last row, a disk in the last row has been deleted and no, a snapshot of the VM has unfortunately not been created. Is there any possibility to recover the deleted VM disk from this specific VM with AHV/CVM command line? Thanks in advance for any help! Regards,Didi7
Hi,I successfully deployed three nodes as VMs in my VMware nested environment without any issues. All are pinging each other. My organization is going to be embarking on an NDB implementation this year and due to our existing clustering technology, our SQL Server infrastructure relies heavily on non-default instance names for our machines (i.e. hostname\instancename). If we’re able to preserve this on databases that bring across to NDB, it will save us a great deal of time/effort in reconfiguring existing applications. Is this something that we’re likely to be able to achieve in NDB? Put differently, I’m hoping that we’ll be able to preserve existing host and instance names.
When setting up my blueprints, i want to lock down most of the configuration to prevent user error. I basically only want a user to be able to adjust the cores, RAM, and size of the data disk. So, i’m clicking the running-person icons to set them to black, meaning not-user-changeable. However, when i Save the change, it goes back to blue. I can’t get the user modifiable/not-modifiable config to stick. Am i missing something here? Thanks!
After I tested different features about Prism Central I’d like to reduce the size of the VM. Now the VM has 18vCPU and 70Gb RAM, it’s to much for my normal use. Is it possible to reduce the vm?

HiI have AHV version 20220304.342. I have deployed Prism Central version pc.2022.6.0.5 but when I try and register it I get an error message under tasks that tells me:Pre registration checks - failedThe reason is showing as ‘The username or password entered is incorrect’I have tried all different combinations for the user ‘admin’ and have even changed it but still the same?I also went into Local User Management and created another admin user account but still got the same result using that one too?Any advice welcome please?
