I just created 4 new Server 2012R2 VMs and this morning I see yellow exclamation points on them with the message "VSS snapshot is not supported for the VM 'WinSrv12R2', because VM has IDE disks attached" These were created with 100G SATA drives and a SATA CD-ROM so I cant figure out why I'm seeing this message. Thank you

I recently had an individual VM whose CPU spiked to between 94-98% for roughly 6 hours. I'd only caught it because the user finally called in and said their VM was slow. In Prism it wasn't showing a warning at all, but I could very clearly see that the CPU was pegged. I wondered if there was any way to set up an email alert for if CPU/RAM at the VM-level has sustained utilization above a certain threshold?

I am trying to access the console of a VM in AHV. I have powered on the VM. While trying the button 'launch console' , the screen becomes grey for a moment. But I don't get the console. I tried this using chrome and firefox.

How do I update Prism with no downtime?

How can I license our Prism Central? It's running a Pro Trial license now. I've generated a Generate a cluster summary file, but when I try to upload it in the portal I get the following message: Insufficient licenses available to upgrade from your current license type of Starter. Manual registration results in the same error. We have an appliance Ultimate license for 7 nodes.

Is it possible to customize the prism ui? (for example add own logo)

So, does anyone know a way of getting information on what error codes mean what? Like a KB or something of error codes?

Execute REST calls from a Linux machine rather than using the GUI (Prism) I would like to know if we can execute resp api query inside the curl command to create events such as VM create, delete, etc and get the response to the query I made through curl ? It's would be very helpful for us to help the client to automate the process of creating events/triggers through the Prism manually. Client has the Nutanix Prism and AHV in their network setup and creating these events manually.

Hi All, I ran a Foundation upgrade pre-check on my single node cluster and now Prism times out when trying to log in as a standard user or admin and when I try to run acli in a ssh session to the cvm I get "Failed to connect to server: [Errno 111] Connection refused" Where to from here? Hi All I am new to Nutanix and coming from a VMware environment I confused. I have a 3 Dell XC Cluster and I access the whole thing by a cluste IP address which puts me in Prism - the Prism says I have not registered with Prism Central - If only have one cluster do I need Prism Central, what benefit does Central give me? HI I can see my Prism Central VM in Prism Web Console but it is not powered on and I get a no entry sign when I try to power it on, however in the CLI I cannot see the VM - where is it , am I in the wrong place and how do I power it on?

Hi, I recently updated NOS to 4.6.1.1 and now when I'm trying to look for new updates it stuck on Loading... and I can't see if new updates are available. It's the same thing for all tabs (Acropolis, Hypervisor, Firmware, NCC, Foundation). Is there someone could help me about this ?

I installed Prism Central but when I try to log, all the user and pass are bad, I try with , admin admin, admin Nutanix/4u, admin nutanix/4u Any idea?

Hi, Does prism has multi-tenancy? We want do like belows. User A can see and manage user A's VM. But user A can't see and manage other user's VM. Cluster Admin can see and manage about Hypervisor, Hardware, and so on. But Cluster admin can't manage VMs.Best Regards,

Detailed information for disk_usage_check: Node xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx WARN: /home usage at 84% (greater than threshold, 80%) Refer to KB 1523 (http://portal.nutanix.com/kb/1523) for details on disk_usage_check I checked that node into CVM. I deleted the download file used for the upgrade, but it is still 82%, but I do not know what to clean up. I want to know the solution. Or should I open the case? I wonder. Please ask for advice. Why can't upload pictures！！！！！！！！！ In that case, I'll simply describe it with words. on prism web,I cannot stop or finish downloading, even though this download task has been stuck for a long time. In other words, buttons or options without relevant functions. The Official Handbook is inquired. The description in this respect is very crude. Hello Guys,As far as I know AFS not supported in a Hyper - v environment, but when I look at software updates I see that there is an option to install AFS, out of curiosity I have installed the same and it even gives an option configure Network & IP for the AFS? My question is, would is really work in hyper-v 212 environment?

I recently upgraded my three clusters to AOS 5.5.06, AHV 20170830.94, and Prism Central 5.5 I noticed that after this upgrade, the ability to update the VM running Prism Central is now greyed out, as is the Power Off Actions. My instance of Prism Central has 16GiB of memory and is running at 96%+ memory usage. I'd sure like to increase its memory and reboot it via the proper procedure. I SSH'd into the VM and ran top to see the big memory users and the 'insights_server' and a few 'java' tasks are consuming over 10% each. Has doc been created on troubleshooting PC 5.5 VM issues?
