Run the health check ncc health_checks system_checks pcvm_disk_usage_checkand if fails check if var/spool/maildrop is not the culprit. Ideally this logs should get cleared by itself. howver there is a limitiation in PC versions older than 2023.3.runallssh ‘df -i /’ (this will show you info about the mount points)runallssh 'sudo du --inode /var/spool/postfix/maildrop’ (this will show you the utilization in kbs)now run the below command will clear the logs, but try on your own risk as it needs to be done with nutanix supportallssh 'sudo postsuper -d ALL maildrop' thanks
Hello and thank you.Can anyone provide command lines or script that I can use to export ssl certificates from Prism Central and Prism Element clusters AOS 6.10 and 6.8.0.1?
Hello Community,Hope you are doing well.I would like to know if these following AWS Services have their equivalents in Nutanix Private Cloud : Amazon Simple Notification Service : allows developers to send messages to many subscribers through communication channels such as email, SMS (text messages), mobile push notifications, and HTTP/HTTPS endpoints. Amazon Simple Queue Service : Amazon Simple Queue Service (Amazon SQS) lets you send, store, and receive messages between software components at any volume, without losing messages or requiring other services to be available. Amazon Data Firehose : provides the easiest way to acquire, transform, and deliver data streams within seconds to data lakes, data warehouses, and analytics services. AWS Lambda : serverless compute service for running code without having to provision or manage servers AWS API Gateway : fully managed service that makes it easy for developers to publish, maintain, monitor, secure, and operate APIs at any scale Amaz
Can Prism Central support like Vender provides an app - https://monitoring-tool.com which will internally call Prism Central API to monitor clusters?

IHAC who has configured splunk as their remote syslog server. They have also configured “Audit” module for both PE and PC. To test the logging, they are able to see events such as VMs powered off and on in splunk. But they are not able to gather any information on events such as user accounts creation / deletion, as we tried to create some local accounts in PE and PC to test. Do they need to configure anything else to capture such events?
Hello form the User Experience Research team at Nutanix! The team is once again asking for your feedback on our products. This time we are interested in hearing your thoughts about Nutanix Cloud Manager (NCM) so better understand how to make improvements to Intelligent Operations, Self Service, Cost Governance, and Security Central. This survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete but will go a long way in helping us focus on what is important to YOU! If you are interested in making your voice hear, you use the link below to fill out the survey and if there are any additions you were able to share in the survey, please share in this post!https://nutanixpoc.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_8GkwLl6Vt75Gfu6
Hello community members,On the *Intelligent Operations” dashboard in Prism Central, we can generate various reports. Is it possible to do exactly the same tasks using the API (v3 or the upcoming v4) ?I mean creating filters, generating and downloading the PDF or CSV etc. BestKévin
Hi, I am interested in using Nutanix Calm DSL to automate certain Calm tasks, specifically updating our existing applications to use python3 escripts instead of python2. I noticed that the docker tags for DSL only run from v3.7.0. May I know if there is a minimum version of Nutanix Calm that DSL needs to run on? We are using Calm v3.5.2 at the moment and I don’t have an environment with a later version to try out DSL. Thanks.
Hi guys,New runbook.I’ve added a variable with escript that gets a list from DB (using a credential object to connect to the DB)Very simple and straightforwardwhen executing the runbook the variable populates the list and everything is working fine.Unfortunately, after publishing it to the marketplace (with the ‘Publish with secrets’ on) it will give this error upon execution:Warning: These variables cannot be resolved: DBUser.username, DBUser.secretI really can’t understand why it isn’t workingDid someone encounter this behavior? what was your solution? Thanks!
Hi,I upgraded Calm vm from 3.7.2.1 to 3.7.2.2 but now I read from release notes of calm vm 3.8 that isn’t possible to upgrade from 3.7.2.2 to 3.8.How can I safetely remove calm vm 3.7.2.2 and reinstall the version 3.8?Thanks Regards
Hi,I used calm vm 3.7.2.2, it worked fine for a couple of days but now I receive error when deploy a blueprint and also when I tried to delete or soft delete the existing one.Nothing logged.

I am new to this companies Nutanix system and we’re getting “Server is not reachable” from the Prisim login screen.I’m getting information overload trying to find where to start diagnosing this issue. Hoping someone can point me in a direction of what to try first. I am remote so I cannot interact with the system directly.
I am going to install oracle database server .So i created a volume group. with sperate disk for seperate mount points but inside oracle vm i need to create a LVM partition . So again i have to combine these disks to vg and then create lvm . so here in this case i have created 2 vg one on nutanix and one one linux . does it add another overhead and cause performance issues ?

Hello everyone,We are looking for an automated and organized way to stop all machines and servers in the cluster. Can anyone help me create a playbook that will perform the following actions:Shutdown all machines in the cluster.Shutdown 3 CVMs - after ensuring that all machines in the cluster are shutdown.Stop the cluster - cluster stop.Shutdown the hosts. And is it possible to perform the reverse action? To start the cluster.Thank you very much.
I am looking for a way to protect the VMs that I’ve stood in as Applications in Calm/Self Service from accidental deletion (mostly by me). I don’t see a way to do this in any areas of Prism or Calm, and I don’t see anything in the Policy Manager docs that would address it, either. Is there any kind of pattern or feature for this? Thanks
I initially developed a Jenkins pipeline to launch Calm blueprints using the raw API, which works, but i hadn’t yet figured out how to pass runtime params to it.It was then that i found the Jenkins plugin, which simplifies the process significantly. It is easy to pass values to the app variables that are exposed in the blueprint. What i don’t see is the ability to pass runtime-editable fields. For example, i can set an App Variable for a user-supplied value, via the plugin. But I don’t see a way to set, for example, the `vCPUs` field that I have marked as a runtime field. It is available to set when launching the Blueprint via the Prism UI, but is it possible to set these fields using the Jenkins Plugin?PS: i am also unclear how to set params via the raw API, but i’ll ask that in a separate topic.
When setting up my blueprints, i want to lock down most of the configuration to prevent user error. I basically only want a user to be able to adjust the cores, RAM, and size of the data disk. So, i’m clicking the running-person icons to set them to black, meaning not-user-changeable. However, when i Save the change, it goes back to blue. I can’t get the user modifiable/not-modifiable config to stick. Am i missing something here? Thanks!
Check out this new video by Cisco on how Cisco ACI integrates and works with Nutanix:
Back in my VMware vRA days, we could set VMs to expire and delete themselves after a set period of time, called a Lease. This prevented test VMs lasting too long and using up resources unnecessarily. The default was seven days, and it could be extended or set as desired by the users if a VM was needed for longer. Is there a way to configure a similar mechanism in CALM/Self Service?
