Is it possible to use Airgap to store additional K8s components like Flux, Ingress controller etc.? I’m using terraform to deploy Karbon, so I should be able to access airgap registry from those deployment modules. How do I manage airgap registry, is it standard private container registry? How about helm charts, can airgap registry store them also?
We have a lab setup with 3 Nutanix nodes in one cluster with model NX-1175S-G6, this Servers have a 2x10GbE ports on each and we have a network switch which is unfortunately Gigabit Ethernet switch DGS-1210-52MP (does not have any 10 GbE switch available right now) for our lab setup. and I want to bridge successfully an active-active bond and LAG,LACP will be enabled and configured on the switch . and I want to make sure the speed is negotiated and to able to work with 1 GbE. Also has a need a no more massage from ncc check “CVM is not uplinked to any 10Gbps nics on bridge/vSwitch br0”. So any expert advice will be taken seriously. Thanns in advance for your suggestions.
We are in the process of setting LEAP in our environment. We have a Nutanix three node cluster that contains our Production VM’s. We have another Nutanix three node cluster that is going to be used for DR. Right now this DR cluster doesn’t have any VM’s on it besides the Controller VM’s. Currently the DR cluster is located in the same data center as the Production cluster. Our plan is to move the DR to a different data center. What I’d like to be able to do is setup LEAP and have everything replicate prior to moving the DR cluster to the new datacenter. This would allow the process to replicate over our LAN instead of the WAN. Is it possible to set up LEAP to do replication locally like this and then once we move the DR cluster to the new data center, reconfigure LEAP so that it points to the DR cluster. The DR cluster will also be reassigned new IP addresses once it moves to the new data center.
Hello folks!I just signed up for a SaaS test of Nutanix Karbon. After creating the cluster and downloading the kubeconfig, I see it gives me an IP 172.31.x.x:443 After downloading the kubeconfig file and running a kubectl get nodes, it times out because it can’t reach the cluster IPWhat should I do in order to expose the cluster IP and try installing/running our applications on Karbon?
I configured four Nutanix 3460-G7 nodes, and when they were installed, I tried to log in using the given link (one of the cvm), but since the new nutanix default password was changed to the IPMI serial, I had to try four times before it locked me out. and my pc was detached from the switch for some reason, which I reconnected, but now I couldn't access the prior cvm ip using the gui. Need help guys
I’ve been trying to download the latest version of Prism Central through Prism and consistently fails. I then downloaded the binary and metadata file but they also continue to fail to upload through Prism after various progress. I checked that there’s at least 10GB of free space in the /home directory - are there any logs that I can look at to troubleshoot further?
Hi there guys! We’ve recently upgraded our cluster from 5.15.3 to 5.15.6 because of a bug with Acropolis Sevice. After the upgrade, we are running into a weird issue with our Citrix Environment.Right now we are using CVAD 7.15 CU2 and AOS 5.15.6 with Windows 7 MCS pool of 1000 VMs with UPMWhen a user disconnects from a session (hitting disconnect or the red X sqare button) director shows the session Active instead of Disconnected and the curious thing is that it reports to be a Console sessionAfter playing around upgrading a test platform to 1912 CU3 and VirtIO drivers to the latest version, we’ve found the same issue. Also repeated the tests with Nutanix CE version 20190916 with the same results. At this point we ran out of ideas an decided to create an ESX cluster in lab, and guess what? it works fine. Disconnected sessions are showing up as they should. We suspect that can be related to AHV because of the test. Also we have a case opened with Nutanix and afterwards we will open a Citri
Hi,If we look at Files instance → Performance → IO Breakdown → IOPS, do these numbers factor in RF for Writes (i.e. actually are the underlying HCI storage IOPS)? or are they the IOPS purely from the Files point of view?E.g., if we have 10% of Writes to an SMB share, but set RF3 for the underlying Files container, will we see 10% or 30% here in this graph?Thank you.
I have deployed a three node Nutanix cluster (version 5.18) in VMware ESXi. I am trying to deploy Prism Central on the AOS but while uploading the json and tar file of the prism central to the Nutanix cluster, I am getting the error ‘unable to upload file’ at around 6% and the upload fails.Kindly help me to sort out this issue.
Hi,Having an issue migrating a Windows Server 2019 OS into Nutanix. We are using version 4.1.0 of Move and we have successfully migrated one VM already. However this 2nd VM fails with a “Query Changed Page Ranges” failed message. It appears to be able to create a snapshot of the disk but then fails after a while. Any ideas?
Hello, I am at the latest and greatest of PC (2022.04.0.1) and trying to run a new capacity planning scenario, I am met with the immediate error: RPC error kTransportError raised I have restarted PC, manually restarted some services, etc. and I am unable to get past it to actually create a new scenario so I was curious if this is a known issue or if anyone has hit it before. There is one old thread that talks about upgrading PC to resolve it, but I am at the latest currently. Any thoughts welcomed. Thanks!
I have a question about PD snapshot frequency.Referring to below link, a node with 32-64 TB HDD tier support NearSync and hourly snapshot with specify requirement (e.g. 14vCPU for CVM).Node Configurations for Snapshot or Recovery Point FrequencyIf I have a 64TB HDD nodes with 2 x 12 cores CPU, the CVM will configured with 12vCPU after foundation. Does it means that node not supporting hourly snapshot and NearSync?
I have installed cluster with 2 blocks (3 nodes each) and assigning IPs to them, I used a switch without vlans, when I created vlans and connect my switch to firewall, I was unable to open the prism in the browser (chrome, firefox), but I can reach the cvm and I can SSH it through putty.
