Based on this youtube video (39:34), there is Prism Self Service Portal Available. Nutanix .NEXT 2016 Opening Keynote Featuring Product Innovations and Demos -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDVXugqcbbg Is this already in the current release for Prism Central, if not when would this be available? Thanks!
Last week I upgraded our Prism Central from 4.6.1.1 to 4.7. I noticed following the upgrade that our Prism Central cluster Capacity information was not being displayed, as if it was a 'fresh installation.' I assumed this was just part of the 4.7 upgrade, and that giving it time to collect data would start the capacity forecasting all over again. However, now 4 days after the upgrade, I'm still not seeing any Prism Central Capacity information. It simply states "We are currently collecting usage data. Cluster usage data will be displayed here in 24 hours." Has anyone else run into this issue?
Maybe I am misundertsanding, but do you need more than what is in the VM Performance tab in the VM section of Prism? It has a ton of percentages etc. available for many components. And if you have a 6 node is this a commercial deploy and not a CE deploy?
The pasword for nutanix user was reset on the prism central system and now I am unable to login even though I am sure the password is correct. It seems it may have become unknown due to the console setting for special characters. In this case how do we recover login access to the node. I didnt set another sudo or other user for this system either.
Hi, I have a question about the space used in a remote site with Async DR). We have 2 Nutanix cluster (with vmware esxi). The remote site is used only for the Async DR there not any VM that running on this. If first site lost we will restart all on this remote site. We actually replicate 1.85 TB on this Remote site, but when I see in VCenter I have this information : Provisionned space 3,27TB Used space 3,27TB And this 2 metric never move since i activate Async DR. And I verify, really provisionned space for all VMs that are replicate is 4.58 TB . Do you have an explanation or idea? Thank you for your help
I was wondering is it possible for the next version of PRISM central to have the look and feel of 4.5.x but with the capacity monitoring features of PRISM Pro in 4.7.x? Personally I feel that it is a hassle to click "PRISM element" everytime in order to drill down into a particular cluster for 4.7 whereas in 4.5 I can just click the left sidebar and go into it from the main page.
Hello friends, 1)Have somebody upgraded hypervisor(ESXI specially) using prism successfully ? can share some key steps or caution about it ? Because I have no test equipment on hand to verify this. 2)if using prism, and encounter ESXI update failure, Will Nutanix support for ESXI problem ? 3) can upgrade be done via VUM/ESX-CLI(traditional method)only without PRISM ? thanks.
Hello, where can one find info about Processor Type in PRISM? I am looking under Hardware element under PRISM but I am not able to find it. Thanks.
Hi, I am looking to configure alerts in PRISM and I see there are tonns of them :) Is there a list of top critial alerts that we should enable by default ? Thanks.
For all My VM's in the tabular view the used space doesn't show up. What should I do to successfully display it? Attached screenshot
Hi there, we just upgraded to Prism Central using the ESXi OVA, and during creation noticed that there is a 500GB 3rd disk set to thick provisioning. This caused some space concerns on an already tight container, so I flipped it over to thin provisioned although I didnt really want to :) A couple questions.... is this 500GB drive 3 normal? I dont remember having these space concerns with the prior PC install. Any forseen issues with the thin provisioning? other than possible space not available as the disk expands. Appreciate the comments/thoughts.. ..BRent
