Hi,I am confused by information in the prism central infrastructure guidePrism pc.2024.3.1 - Defining Behaviour for Non-migratable VMs (GPU/CPU/PCI/Host Affinity configured VMs)non_migratable_vm_action: By default, this parameter is set to block, which means the non-migratable VMs are shut down when you put a node into maintenance mode. For more information on non-migratable VMs, see Non-Migratable VMs.If you want to automatically shut down such VMs for the duration of the maintenance mode, set this parameter to acpi_shutdown.It seems both settings result in shutting down the VMs. Am I missing something, or is there an error in the documentation? I assumed block would prevent maintenance mode and keep the VMs running.Same information in the AHV guideAHV 10.0 - Putting a Node into Maintenance Mode using CLI

Hi,Use Case: I have a POC account on which I want to launch a NC2 cluster using my Azure account.Problem Statement: I am able to create an azure cloud account successfully but when I try to create a cluster, it does not let me use my azure account and depicts that my aws trial account is still active. Question: How can I activate Azure trial license in my POC account? Can I use my azure trial license if I have already used AWS trial?

I checked the log rotation interval for CVM and Prism Central in the manual, but I couldn't find any information.With the default settings, how often are logs rotated, and how many generations of data are retained?

I am considering building a cluster that will use a mix of TLC and QLC NVMe SSDs. I assume that Nutanix will put all of these drives into the SSD-PCIe storage tier and every disk will be a member of the same tier. Since QLC SSDs have lower performance and lower write endurance than their TLC, MLC, and SLC counterparts, it would be advantageous to use storage tiering to encourage cold data to reside on the QLC media and hotter data to reside on the more performant drives. Is there a supported method for this in non-community edition clusters? It would be relatively straightforward to manually change the tier-name for the QLC drives to SSD-SATA, but is that a supported practice?

Hi everyone,anyone face issue, when they run nutanix collector to gather data of PC or PE, but when we open the excel file. we got required data except VM IP details.can anyone resolve this or have any solution to this. without VM IP details, collector is not worth. Please share thought about it.

If I have two AHV clusters distributed across a primary site and a disaster recovery (DR) site, and I configure Metro Availability between them, is it possible to deploy the Witness VM at the DR site?

I have 2 AHV clusters (3 nodes), and if I want to configure synchronous replication between them, I have two options: Sync Replication and Metro Availability. I would like to understand the key differences between these two approaches and the specific features. Note that I will not use a Witness VM.

I have 4 x dell m540 blade servers, running in a VRTX chassis, and would like to install nutanix, I have tried the latest edition and it bombs out with fatal errors before I even get to the installer, does anyone have the legacy isos so I can try this or any ideas why ?, I have even disabled the shared storage and it still bombs out

Hello everyone, I am trying to deploy VMs from a template by using terraform ( nutanix_deploy_templates_v2 ). I have located the UUID of the template i want to use and terraform plan works with no issues. When I go to apply the changes it errors telling me the template is not located on that server. I have quadruple checked the addresses etc and even had it peer checked so we are happy with the code. Has anyone else experienced this or am I just being dumb?Any help would be appreciated - cheers

We are excited to announce a new feature that allows you to configure the User VM (UVM) as the default gateway for NC2 on AWS subnets. This eliminates the need for an EC2 instance to perform the gateway function, allowing you to use the existing bare-metal that you're already paying for with NC2. It also provides better security by forcing traffic to the gateway device without needing to change the local gateway on guest devices. This means there is no way to circumvent the firewall/gateway device.The AWS Gateway implementation doesn't allow for just adding an NC2 VM as a gateway and carrying on. Issue: I can’t get UEFI to work with VMs at all.CE version of AHV  on Dell 4 year old hardware - AHV and CVM operational and appear fine.VMs appear to be OK as long as it’s using legacy bios. I can’t get UEFI to boot, black screen of X/f2.I was going to attempt a workaround: Install using legacy and convert to UEFI but I can’t get into the VM bios?  Tried F2, DEL, F12 … every F out there and it goes straight to windows.Does anyone have a recommendation? Node expantion with NVMe drives and newer AOS/AHV on the new node? What is the file to update that updates the cluster to recognize the new hardware models. Bascially having to downgrade a factory G9 node on an older cluster. When you run foundation it doesn’t recognize the newer hardware and errors out.

Hello, I have a question about the functionality of VM replication between two clusters (Nutanix metro).I would like to know if my virtual machines defined on the main cluster can start identically on the backup cluster in the event of an incident. In fact, my question is more focused on the software and OS licenses that are implemented on the VMs. That is, are the licenses also replicated, or does it depend on the type of license?Best regards, 

Hello Dears , I want to install nutanix on lenovo HX650 V3 storage IS , i am not sure that the hardware is preinstalled image or not .how can i know the servers that will came preinstalled or not ?can you explain the best way to foundation on lenovo servers ? 

We have upgrade a old cluster from AHV 6.5.6.6 to 6.5.6.7 but one node are’nt upgrade. And I can perfom the upgrade by web. Is it possible to upgrade one node by cli ? Moreover can upgrade to the ahv 7 ? Kind regards
