HI, I need help The current version of Nutanix isAOS 5.10.10.1AHV 2017830.396is.I'm having a problem with the SMTP side, so I'm asking this question.I've been working with a firewall engineer.After opening all ports, I tried to send an SMTP test mail, but I did not receive it.All AHV hosts have a gateway.The problem is that it succeeded in sending the test mail normally, but did not actually receive the mail.SMTPConnection status indicates Failed.The firewall engineer said that the ping test packet was confirmed, but the packet when the SMTP test mail was sent was not.I need some advice on which part is the problem.

Is Prism Pro  necessary to use Nutanix Flow or can I  use Prism ?

Hello Everyone ,Yesterday , we upgraded AOS to 5.20 LTS and an alert appeared on Most VMS as follow NGT should be upgraded to the latest version , we need upgrade all VMs by PC when upgrade the VM the following error appear INTERNAL_ERROR:internal server Error but when upgrade manual the operation succeeded , for your info VM OS 2016 .Thanks 

 Can I check which Client is using vDISK in Prism?I want to check the Client assigned the volume group.I can compare iqn and check it, but I wonder if there is an easier way than that.(ex.through the CLI in AHV, CVM) 

Hi folks! Does anybody backup Prism Central VMs in a Protection Domain? I was just thinking about that, since I need to move all VMs from one AHV cluster to another. That's because I need to reinstall the cluster with ESXi for compatibility with some VMs. The only way I found out is to create Protection Domains and replicate the VMs to the new cluster. So does this work with PC VMs also? Regards, Andy

I got some issues with having some logs showing up in Splunk. I managed to get the account login [Fail & Successful] by adding in the PRISM modules but now I need to get the account creation / deletion showing up in Splunk. I can’t seem to find the msg be it account or creation. Is there a need for me to add in other modules as well? I am kinda stuck with this step. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am working on setting up a Custom role for end users to self serve market place apps.  Problem is that I can’t see where I can remove access to Polices (Image Placement), Hardware (GRU), and Files. They don’t appear to be in the action list.

How to calculate cluster cpu ready time using python and REST API? I am having performance issue in finding whether my clusters are over utilized or under utilized. If I can get cpu_ready_time_ppm or cpu steal time for each cluster, it will help us ? Let me know if there is any other direct way to find it.An early response will be highly appreciated.

As seen in this attached screenshot, Prism Central appears to have lost track of this “running” task.  Updates of network security rules normally finish very quickly (I think might have clicked an apply button twice after editing a FLOW security policy during on-site FLOW training.)  Is this something only Nutanix Support can clear away? 

What problems or impacts can I have after upgrading the Prism Central to a version that is not compatible with the AOS of the sites that are managed by Prism Central?Will I have any unavailability to access the PE of the remote site via the web because of the version that is not compatible with Prism Central?For example I will update the PC to version pc.2020.11.0.1 and AOS of my PE will be in version 5.11.2 which by Nutanix matrix is not compatible. I cannot update the AOS of the EP at this time.

Hi,we just upgraded our prism central instance to the most current community edition version of Nutanix (2020.09.16). We also upgraded our cluster successfully. For this to happen I had to unregister the cluster from prism central first (with the help of: https://portal.nutanix.com/page/documents/kbs/details?targetId=kA00e000000XeZjCAK). After everything was updated I wanted to register the cluster again in prism central, but after some time I get the error message “Error: Failed to create remote connection”. I’ve had a very frustrating experience with Self-Service via Prism Central (pc.2021.1.0.1).We do not have CALM, but since Nutanix does have Self-Service with Prism Central, we’ve been trying to use that feature for our users. However, the solution is very flaky with some of the issues below:Poor RBAC. The roles seem target to CALM. Why show Blueprints when CALM isn’t licensed? Difficult to provide as-required privileges for a self-service user. The user can create VM recovery points, but cannot see them for recovery (tried all built-in roles). Dead links. Self-service users see links for CALM, Files, Karbon. However, when clicked, they either throw an error or unavailable message or log the user out. Self-Service user sees more info than required. Can download cluster keys, etc.If Nutanix can provide a solid Self-Service experience in PC without CALM, that’d go a long way in attracting new customers and then later the customers may explore CALM.

I’m tuning RBAC to provide Self-Service users with just enough permissions for CRUD operations on VMs and Recovery points using the API and custom roles.When trying to create a VM, I see the following message with the “VM Template” radio button greyed out: There are currently no VM templates available in the projects that you are a part of. So, where is the association of VM Templates to a project? I created a couple of VM templates by creating the required images and adding them to the catalog. Is there some special permission required for this (because playing with RBAC has made this greyed out)? 

Hello Analysis exported VM CPU, VM memory usage in CSV file but I can't adjust the time interval. Is there a way to adjust the time interval when I get export? Is it possible manually?
