Hello, I Keep getting this error. I've tried downloading the ISO multiple times and used different USB sticks with various boot Tools like USB Key, Ventoy, and Rufus. Any tips?
We recently acquired four new Lenovo HX630 V3 CN servers to deploy the latest Nutanix AHV and AOS. Our plan is to set these up on four AHVs and the latest Prism Central. According to the compatibility matrix, this configuration should be supported.I downloaded the latest AHV (AHV-DVD-x86_64-10.0.1-219) from the Nutanix portal and created a bootable USB. However, I encountered an error when attempting to boot into the Nutanix installation process.I understand that I need to use Foundation, but my servers are new and don’t have DiscoveryOS or something similar that would allow me to discover them with Foundation tools. Could you please advise on how to resolve this issue?
Is there a way to receive a token that can the be sent to the launch console page. something like `https://{domain}/console/lib/noVNC-new/vnc.html?path=vnc/vm/{token}`That will let me bypass the login page of Prism console and allow me to open the console for a virtual machine directly ?
Currently I building the following versions: AHV ver,10.0.1 AOS ver,7.0.1DNS is configured on the CVM but it seems that the DNS settings are not synced on the AHV.I confirmed that the DNS settings were entered from Prism Element as well.Re-entering the DNS values did not fix the issue. If anyone knows the solution, please tell me
Hi Nutanix-Community, trying to create a Nutanix CE cluster with 4 nodes out of our old hardware. Hi,Can someone please help me with some questions? We want to deploy our appliance in nutanix, appliance means , we have iso/ova images which we want to deploy in the nutanix on-premise hypervisor.Does the standard ova image will work without any issue or there are some considerations i need to take care of ?If i test it in the cloud cluster and use it without any issue, can i be sure that this works perfectly fine with the on-premise AHV hypervisor? if not what do i need to consider ?
Will there be a problem with regenerating the certs if Nutanix is at EOL with the hardware?
Hi Everyone,Imported the Witness VM OVA in Oracle VirtualBox for two node cluster and configured IP address. Failed to create cluster and stuck in waiting service to start. Any suggestions?
experiencing below error when i try to deploy Prism Central error appears when the process hits 100% but fils with the error. DNS server configured, No DNS records created(was getting a different error if i create DNS records) Encountered Exception in post_deployment step: Failed to enable micro services infrastructure on PC: Encountered error in cmsp sub task 'Performing CMSP prechecks': Prism Central is not compatible to enable Microservice Infrastructure:Unable to get cluster details from PE 172.20.10.11,Unable to get cluster details from PE 172.20.10.11,Unable to get cluster details from PE 172.20.10.11
We have a two node cluster running hyper-V and hardware has come to EOL.We need to replace the nodes with new supported hardware and I cannot find any documentation for this, specially for a two nodes cluster. Is there any documentation available or can anyone provide the procedure? I know hardware replacement is supported for two nodes clusters, I just cannot find instructions for it. Thanks in advance
Good day nutanix community We are to upgrade our cluster from ESXi 7.0.3c to 7.0 U3s to patch for the latest CVE vulnerabilities, BUT, in the Compatibility and Interoperability Matrix there is no information about this ESXi Version so, it´s is supported this ESXi? Current AOS version 5.20.4.6 LTS upgradable to 6.5.6.7 LTSModel NX-1065-G7Can I upgrade the ESXi hosts from the vCenter LCM without needing the ISO and JSON files for they hypervisor upgrade in Prism Elements? Is the model and AOS version there compatible with ESXi 7.0.3s event though the compatibility matrix doesn’t show it, and the latest JSON file I can get from Nutanix website is 7.0.3n?
Does the Nutanix Backplane network allow communication between nodes without routing ? I see the CVM’s communicate between the 192.168.5.x subnet, do the CVM’s communicate over L2 within the subnet or do they use L3 in the Nutanix internal network and if I were to disconnect the L1 Physical networking would the CVM’s still be able to communicate over this network ? I am running ESXi ontop of 4 nodes and just trying to establish if the external Physical network impacts the CVM’s on each node / esxi host, if we lost a HBA / physical adapter on that has the Backplane network would the cluster become degraded and would that CVM be offline or would it still be able to talk to the other CVM’s? Thanks
I plan to introduce NX-1150S-G9 as a single-node cluster and verify Move in combination with an existing 3-node cluster.Q1. I plan to create a cluster using Foundation VM, but can I create a single-node cluster this way? I think I can proceed with the wizard with one node selected, but please let me know if there are any precautions or other methods required.Q2. Can a single-node cluster be registered as a source or destination cluster in Move? I have not verified this, but I believe it is probably possible. Also, the single-node cluster I am talking about is not CE, but commercial. I look forward to your replies.
New installation Of community Edition:My host and CVM have no internet connexion and I will not have them connected to the internet. is there a was I can resolve this issue below? Thanks
Problem creating Nutanix cluster with Foundation 5.7.1 on Lenovo Nodes. We are triying to install a new Nutanix Cluster with 3 nodes Lenovo HX630 V3 CN.AOS version trying to install is 6.10.we are using Portable windows based Foundation and When we launch the installation with the Foundation, its goes fine till mounting the image for installation and reboot the server and it gets failed with error:2025-05-05 08:04:50,990Z imaging_step_init_ipmi.py:114 INFO Setting boot mode2025-05-05 08:04:50,990Z lenovo_redfish.py:269 INFO Not changing boot mode for Lenovo!2025-05-05 08:04:50,990Z imaging_step_init_ipmi.py:118 INFO Not changing boot mode2025-05-05 08:04:51,552Z generic_ipmi.py:135 INFO Cutting host power off for 10.x.x.x to off, wait=False2025-05-05 08:04:51,557Z generic_ipmi.py:135 INFO Current power state {'powerstate': 'off'}2025-05-05 08:04:51,617Z bmc.py:260 INFO Booting node (reset=True)...2025-05-05 08:04:51,617Z bmc.py:260 INFO Booting node (reset=True)2025-05-05 08:05:05,062Z
Hey I’m trying to install a new cluster with 8 nodes, but on the Nodes fane in Nutanix Foundation I can only choose A,B,C and D.How do I select the remaining 4 hosts? Using Nutanix Foundation v5.7.1 on Windows /Mads

Hi All, I am trying to set up a 3 node cluster in Nutanix CE 2.1 but I don’t seem to be able to get past the creation of the auth certificates, my set up is as below: Dell PowerEdge R7515 2U Rackmount Server1 x AMD EPYC 7H12 64Core 2.6GHz CPU512GB (8x64GB PC4-3200AA-R) DDR4 RAM6 x 1.6TB SSD PCIe NVMe Gen 4 2.5" Dell Enterprise Hot-Swap SSD - used for DataPERC S150 Software Controller for NVMe Drivesx24 way Backplane for up to 24 x 2.5" PCIe NVMe Hot Swap DrivesDell BOSS Controller Card w/ 2 x 240GB M.2 SATA SSD - used for AHVBroadcom 5720 1Gb Dual Port Onboard LOM (2x1GB RJ45 Ports)Broadcom 57414 Dual Port Mezz LOM (2x10/25GB SFP28 Ports)1x 960GB PCIe NVMe Gen 4 2.5” - used for CVM these are connected to a Dell SF-S5148-ON 25GB switch which is then uplinked to a Sonicwall TZ470 firewall. the issue I seem to be seeing is that when creating the cluster, the CVM is unable to connect to the control master and then is unable to copy the certificate files via SCP, I have checked communicatio
We should type ‘I Agree’ when shutting down a cluster, so if is it possible to shutdown a cluster with script, or any method to bypass the manual confirmation?
We have eight XC nodes installed, each one connected to two 100Gbps switches ( 200Gbps btw two switches) by using two 100Gbps MLNX CX-6 network adapters. AHV and switches configured with LACP (Active-Active). After installation, we ran bandwidth with iperf:AHV to AHV could reach to 188Gbps ( 1 port with 20 threads) CVM to CVM was very close to 90Gbps (The total BW always was about 88Gbps, even we used multiple ports with multiple threads)So CVM can only use the bandwidth of one port of lacp for traffic?

I currently have a Quantum Scalar i3 tape library with 4 drives. I need to add 2 more drives to the library in Veeam. We bought a new SAS card, and have not yet installed it into the tape server. When I do, and connect the 2 new drives to it, I am unclear as to what I will need to do in Veeam to get it to recognize that there are now 2 more drives in the library, so I can add them to the correct media pool. Will it automatically see them?
I am curious why the running “ovs-vsctl show” on a AHV host does not show any “bond” whereas the “ovsdb-client dump | grep -i lacp” command and the Prism GUI show lacp is present (the switch too)? Here is the GUI viewfull “ovs-vsctl show” output from AHV host:[root@NTNX-895b5886-A ~]# ovs-vsctl show84a00041-1b46-44f0-99a1-01a0b1a66713 Bridge br.mx Port br.mx.u.br1 Interface br.mx.u.br1 type: patch options: {peer=br1.local.d} Port br.mx.u.br2 Interface br.mx.u.br2 type: patch options: {peer=br2.local.d} Port br.mx.u.br0 Interface br.mx.u.br0 type: patch options: {peer=br0.local.d} Port br.mx Interface br.mx type: internal Port br.mx.d Interface br.mx.d type: patch options: {peer=br.microseg.u} Bridge br.dmx Port br.dmx Interface br.dmx
