Hi. I’m trying to use Nutanix collector 4.0 to collect Hyper-V sizing information, however the following error message is displayed during the scanning phase:“Bad http response returned from the server. Code: 500. Content”I tried to use it with Remote option and locally on a cluster member and the same happens.Running the precheck script it shows these failures on the picture: The user logged in is a Domain Admin and local admin, however the script returns a failure about the user rights. Does anyone know how can I enable the “Basic auth” stated on the script output?I also tried Collector version 3.5.1 with no success.Any tips?
There is an option to have the Storage widget turn yellow when the cluster reached a warning threshold of resilient capacity. This feature does not appear to trigger an alert in Prism Elements. Are there any options to make this trigger an alert or are there options to alert on the resilient capacity of the cluster? Managing the capacity based on anything else creates more management overhead when each cluster has to have the capacity calculated individually and the thresholds set/reset with cluster changes. Since this widget is already doing the calculation it seems redundant to have to edit the storage pool alerts on every cluster. This is an example of the Storage Widget with the warning triggered. But the storage pool has not triggered an alert based on these numbers because it doesn’t take into consideration the resilient capacity.
Hi Our setup will look very similar to the attached diagram once it’s setup (taken from here - https://portal.nutanix.com/page/documents/details?targetId=Nutanix-Security-Guide-v6_1:wc-network-segmentation-intro-wc-c.html). We won’t have the separate DVS for the VM’s though as these will be on the same DVS with everything else 😊 What I'm trying to understand is what the vmk2 kernel interface is used for and why this must be on its own port group and can’t use the same port used by the CVM. I’ve illustrated what I thought should be possible with the blue line. Within Prism where you change the setting for the Backplane network, you must select a port group for the CVM and for the host. However, when you try to select the same port group for both host and CVM it gives an error and won’t let you do it. Does anyone know why they need to be on separate port groups even though they will be on the same Backplane VLAN? I hope that made sense
I need assistance in resolving a problem with File Analytics, which indicates that my memory has exceeded 90%. I update the VM and add 8 GB after it displays the critical error "One or more File Analytics VM components have failed." I did a power reboot, but nothing changed. Please assist.
When a cluster goes down due to a power failure, the VMs power back up when the hosts come back online. Is there any way to control this and create a boot order for those VMs?

nutanix ERROR ipv4config.py:1811 Unable to get the KVM device configuration, ret 1, stdout , stderr br0-backplane: error fetching interface information: Device not found\n Anyone know what to do with this error. I turned on remote syslogging to see why a host has been crashing and I see this as one of the errors in the logs. The host is a Dell PE R630.Not sure if KVM means the host OS, since AHV basically is KVM or an actually connecting to iDRAC for Keyboard Mouse Video.

With the proliferation of ARM64 servers upwards of 96 to 128 cores per socket, when can we expect a Nutanix AHV focused on ARM64? RedHat and other vendors have already hopped on the bandwagon.
We bought several Nutanix clusters in 2019 and on two of them, we deployed a cloud connect appliance in AWS via Prism element so that we could backup our VMs to the cloud. We setup retention to 7 snaps locally and 62 on the remote (AWS) side. The question I have for everyone that uses Cloud Connect for backups is, does the S3 bucket that gets created by Cloud Connect ever stop growing in size. On our HQ Nutanix cluster, that Cloud Connect S3 bucket is currently sitting at 164TB and 177 million objects. This is a small 3 node cluster with only 10 VMs being backed up to the Cloud Connect appliance. Current allocated space for those VMs is 3TB. Actual consumed by them as reported by Prism is about half of that. Looking at the S3 bucket created by cloud connect, I see that a lifecycle rule was created to move objects to infrequent access after 30 days. HiI have a question about VM snapshots. I dont think this is possible otherwise I’m sure it would be obvious in PE or PC but I’ll ask anyway:Can we snapshot the VM’s active memory? i.e. include the active OS memory in the snapshot, the equivalent of ESXI’s .vmem fileI’ve read up on crash vs application consistent snapshots but I dont see a mention of capturing the OS memoryThanks

Hey Guys,I have a 3 node cluster. I am planning to add a new node to the existing. Since I already have a cluster, once I rack mounted and connected the cables to the nodes should I go for foundation for node setup or can I use expand cluster option?
The setup is a cluster with 3 hosts. The cluster is up and running.However, the VMs connected to one of the hosts are not able to access the internet or other VMs on the network.If any of the affected VM is migrated to another host in the cluster, then it will be able to access the internet or other VMs on the network.Once it is returned to the faulty host, the connectivity problem will persist again.
I have about 9 VM that have this error (all 130 other VMS are fine). The VMS are either Server 2012 R2 or server 2016. I have tried manually mounting NGT CD from the manage guest tools on the Nutanix VM page, then I launch the console and try to install NGT. I run the mounted cd and NGT fails saying that NGT is already installed. I’ve tried uninstalling NGT and reinstalling it from the mounted CD, but it’s not installing the latest version. How can I update NGT on these 9 VMs?

Planning for moving from VMware to Nutanix CE. I have 3 NUC,Skull Canyon Hades Canyon . Wall Street CanyonPlanning to populate 2x1TB ssd to each of the NUC.
