Leap with two Prism Centrals:
- Asynchronous replication: it enables you to protect your data with an RPO of 1 hour or beyond.The policy creates a recovery point of the VMs in every 1 hour (or in the hourly time interval that you specify in the RPO) and replicates it to the recovery site
- NearSync replication: It enables you to protect your data with an RPO of as low as 1 minute.The policy creates a recovery point of the VMs in minutes (1–15 minutes) and replicates it to the recovery site. You can configure disaster recovery with NearSync replication between two AHV or ESXi clusters at the same or different on-prem sites
- Synchronous replication: It enables you to protect your data with a zero recovery point objective (0 RPO).You can configure a protection policy with Synchronous replication by defining the VMs or VM categories that replicate all the writes on the protected VMs synchronously to the recovery site
2. Leap with single Prism Central:
- NearSync replication and Asynchronous replication is a single PC disaster recovery where replication takes place between clusters at the same on-prem site
- Xi Leap
- Asynchronous replication: The policy creates a recovery point of the VMs in every 1 hour (or in the hourly time interval that you specify in the RPO) and replicates it to Xi Cloud Services.
