Question

I have a question about converting my Nutanix license.

1. What happens if a dark site can't import CSF files and therefore can't convert licenses?

2. If I don't currently have PCs installed in my cluster or have a low AOS version that prevents me from applying a new license, is converting my license for now the right way to go?

3. I have a cluster configured with NX-3060-G6 NBL licenses. In this case, for the G6 equipment, the EOSL is known to be until January 31, 2020. Are these licenses not extendable or renewable?

4. Conversely, if the CBL expires by January 31, will it be possible to renew or convert to 2.0 without any restrictions?

There's a lot I don't know about converting licenses.

Hi,

I was typing a lot of text but to answer this shortly: Contact you Nutanix Sales representative. They should answer all this and help you with a new quote for newer hardware. The G6 is EOL and so renewing doesn't make any sense.

Hi sung-sooJeroenTielen is correct.

While there are concrete rules for a proper conversion to the new license model, each account is unique and it would be best to connect with your Nutanix account team to strategize the best path forward.

You will want to discuss which features you are needing in production so they can match the hardware and licenses that fit.

Feel free as always to open a support case with any licensing questions as well and we can pull in your account team.   Support portal

Thanks,     ðŸ¤“
