Install Nutanix CE on DL380 Gen10 | Nutanix Community
Skip to main content

Hello,

we are evaluating Nutanix for our datacenter deployment, and were thinking to install CE on one of our older DL360 Gen10 servers that we have here, just to see the interface, UI etc.

However, I am completely failing to install it. Neither USB (tried Rufus with GPT and MBR, as well as unetbootin) nor mounted ISO via ILO are being recognized. I tested with Proxmox ISO, and it loaded instantly via ILO/ISO.

Any recommendations on what to check or what might be causing the issue?

Thanks

What error do you get when trying to boot the CE installer?  Does it boot at all and get into the installer and fail?   Does it just not find the installer at all?   Have you tried redownloading the ISO?

It looks like a corrupted iso.

try re-downloading it, as @ktelep said,

and maybe give it a try in a vm to check that boots fine, just to have more information.

BTW, are you doing this with the latest version of CE?

cheers.

if it is not booting, as suggested download it again.there could be something wrong with the ISO iteself.try to confirm the downloaded file is healthy using checksum.

I would bet it’s the UEFI settings in the BIOS.  Make sure UEFI is enabled for boot devices and that you’re using the UEFI devices.

Make sure you boot with usb stick and make the usb stick with rufus in windows. Then in rufus make sure you select the corresponding setup of you hp server.

HP server boots in uefi? Make the usb stick GPT.

HP server boots in BIOS? Make the usb stick MBT.
