Dear Folks,I am planning to proceed with the foundation imaging of our Nutanix NX-8170-G9 nodes using a standalone 1GbE switch (small 6 port) . For the initial setup, I will connect the BMC port and the AIOM port (for CVM traffic) to this switch and it will configure Active/Backup.Each node is equipped with two 10GbE LC fibre ports, currently intended for CVM and VM traffic via LACP bonding. My question is:Post-foundation, how can I transition from the temporary 1GbE Active/Backup setup to the intended LACP configuration on the 10GbE interfaces? Is it possible to perform this change via the Prism Element GUI, Or is it necessary to access the CLI through the IPMI console? Could you please outline the recommended procedureThx Calvin

Dear folks, Nutanix KB 3523https://portal.nutanix.com/page/documents/kbs/details?targetId=kA032000000TUksCAGI followed the instructions under Option 2: Creating an ISO Using a Foundation VM (in case Option 1 couldn’t be performed), and used the following command to generate the Phoenix ISO:[nutanix@nutanix-installer bin]$ ./generate_iso phoenix --aos-package=/home/nutanix/foundation/nos/nutanix_installer_package-release-euphrates-7.0-stable.tar.gz --kvm=/home/nutanix/foundation/isos/hypervisor/kvm/kvm_host_bundle_**.isoThis generated a 6.91 GB Phoenix ISO with AOS version 6.10.1.1 and AHV included. Before booting the actual G9 nodes remotely via IPMI, I tested the ISO on a VMware Player VM. It installed successfully but only showed a Phoenix OS prompt—no CVM interface or cluster setup options appeared, which I understand isn’t the correct way to test it.This is my first time working with the Phoenix ISO. Is there an official document or guide that explains how to properly image a node u

!--startfragment>Dear Peers,I’ve recently received three new G9 servers and I’d like to image them remotely using ISO files before creating a Nutanix cluster. The target hypervisor is AHV.Is it possible to perform remote imaging using ISO files? If so, where can I download the required AHV images, or how can I create a single ISO image suitable for this process?Any guidance or best practices would be greatly appreciated. Thx Calvin!--endfragment>

HiI'm using 6.5.2 LTS.I have a cluster consisting of three machines. As you can see in the attached screenshot, on the Prism Element home screen, each resource in the cluster is displayed as "not available."The Storage Summary also shows values that differ from actual usage.I've configured SNMP in Prism Element, and when I use snmpwalk to retrieve values such as hypervisorRxBytes from the monitoring server, the values always show the same.If you know the cause, please let me know. Thank you in advance.

Hello, first time poster. I’ve created a one-node cluster on an intel NUC 10 (NUC10FNH) using latest phoenix image. install went fine after a couple of hardware bumps but node is up, CVM is running etc. The issue I’m having is I can’t power on any VMs I create. It only gives a generic “InternalException” error. In the uhura.out log, there are these entries “Error: HypervisorError: internal error: QEMU unexpectedly closed the monitor” and “qemu-kvm: Address space limit 0x7fffffffff < 0x4bcbfffffff phys-bits too low (39): 61”. Having a hard time trying to make sense of this. I’ve read other people running on the same hardware with no issues, maybe it’s the specific version of the CPU (it’s an i7-10710U). one-node cluster, 64GB RAM, one 500GB m.2 SSD and one 500GB SATA SSD. booting off a 64GB usb drive. Any info would be appreciated. Thank you.

HI Team,Recently, I have brought Nutanix Community Edition in my lab for testing. The testing requires to configure a internal network to have a connectivity between 2 virtual machines. To do that, I have created a internal network and assigned it to 2 virtual machines. I do observe self ping failed in Linux though ifconfig shows IP address configured correctly. I need to reach from one VM to another using this custom subnet. Please let me know if I am missing anything here.
Creating a new topic to replace the prior one I started that was incorrectly categorized into the Self Service category. I am running the following PC version and AOS/AHV versions: I am trying to configure an IdP for PC auth and need to customize the redirect URL. This is supported according to the AOS 7.3 docs: However, the redirect URL field is not visible in the IdP config in my installation: Can anyone help me understand where the restriction lies and how to enable customization of the redirect URL?

Hi Nutanix Community,I'm working on integrating with Nutanix API v4 (/api/vmm/v4.1/ahv/config/vms) for VM discovery and need guidance on the best approach for extracting VM IP addresses.I see multiple IP fields in the response and I'm not sure which one to prioritize:nicNetworkInfo.ipv4Info.learnedIpAddresses networkInfo.ipv4Info.learnedIpAddresses assignedIpAddressesand more. Is there a single field that always contains the VM's primary IP address? I'd prefer to check one reliable source instead of multiple fallbacks. What's the difference between nicNetworkInfo vs networkInfo - are they duplicates or do they serve different purposes? Thanks!
