If restore from protection domain snapshot at remote site, SID will change the windows 2016 server or do we need to run the sysprep to change the sid?

As far as I know, there is no automatic SID change when restoring from a  PD. I don’t think you want to in normal circumstances as you recover a failed server.

We need to do it in Dr test in remote site, need different. SID

you should do that by yourself, I think. Sysprep will do the trick...

Hello @Mahendar Reddy

  • Click the Create new entities button (Out-of-place restore). Enter the following:
    • (ESXi only) Desired path in the Path field
    • Optional name prefix in the VM Name Prefix field.
    • Optional name prefix in the Volume Group Name Prefix field.
Click OK to create a clone of each selected entity in the path location (path location is only for ESXi) with the same name and the specified prefix. If you do not specify a prefix, the prefix Nutanix-Clone- is used. For example, if the original VM name is myvm and a prefix is not specified, the cloned VM name is Nutanix-Clone-myvm (or Nutanix-Clone-myvm-yymmdd-hhmmss if Nutanix-Clone-myvm exists). The VM clone is not powered on automatically; you must start it manually. Manually attach volume groups to the new VM (see Volume Group Configuration in the Prism Web Console Guide). This operation created entities with new UUIDs.
