I’m going to deploy 8 nutanix nodes with ESXi. The total storage capacity is 120TB. VMware ESXi have a maximum datastore capacity of 64TB. Can I provision nutanix storage container as datastore with capacity more than 64TB?

Your storage pool is 120TB. From the storage pool the containers are created. And the containers are presented (via nfs) to the esxi hosts. so limit the containers to 64TB and you are good to go.

I found out that if the datastore format via nfs, there’s virtually no capacity limit. The nutanix cluster I deployed comes default with a 120TB Storage container that automatically mount to all the hosts as datastore.

Hello Swee

That's related to VMware not Nutanix, what's compatible with VMware and its version then you can do it.

Yes, you can do it. Datastore limits are  VMware from nutanix no limits
