Hi Experts,

I hope you are doing great, Can I mix PUSs in a single block (an obsolete model) using the below combination? I am not sure how the MB will handle PSU2.

PWS-1K68A-1R (PUS1) : DC output  :: 800W + 12V/67A ; +5vsb/1A

                                          DC output  :: 1600W + 12V/133A ; +5vsb/1A

PWS-1K62P-1R (PSU2) : DC output  :: 1000W + 12V/84A ; +5vsb/4A

                                          DC output  :: 1200W + 12V/100A ; +5vsb/4A

                                          DC output  :: 1620W + 12V/135A ; +5vsb/4A

Hi,

As per the specifications, it's not recommend mixing PSU of different ratings.

https://portal.nutanix.com/page/documents/details?targetId=Power-Supply-Replacement-Platform-v59:Power-Supply-Replacement-Platform-v59

A Nutanix block contains two power supplies that provide power to all nodes in the block. Both power supplies must be the same type.

If you are using 208V input power, the two power supplies are redundant. One power supply can meet the needs of the block. Although losing one of the two power supplies does not impact the operation of the Nutanix block, a failed power supply should be replaced as soon as possible to restore redundancy.

If the input for the power supplies is 110V, the power supplies are not always redundant. For specific platform details, refer to the Power Supply Unit (PSU) Redundancy and Node Configuration topic in the System Specifications.

If the PSU is not available from Nutanix, you can try sourcing it from SuperMicro.

Hi Adel,

I doubt you will get the answer in this forum, you can either open a support ticket or send to local Nutanix team to assist. If both are not possible then post more information like make, model, type etc, so some can try to provide helpful information.

Hi @sl.farhanparkar , Thank you for your reply,

Noted, as for the block model its NX-6035C-G5 a hyperconverged. As per https://www.webscaleworks.com/datasheets/ds-nutanix-specsheet.pdf the power consumption 812W maximum, 528W typical. I wondered if it can be done or outsource the missing unit.
