Hello Masters,

Today I have this alert: System Non-Root Partitions Space Usage High

I read this KB

https://next.nutanix.com/installation-configuration-23/cvm-non-root-partitions-space-usage-high-clear-space-safetly-33597

and check my filesystem and all files inside of this directories are ok (small sizes):

  • /home/nutanix/data/cores/
  • /home/nutanix/data/binary_logs/
  • /home/nutanix/data/ncc/installer/
  • /home/nutanix/data/log_collector/

My problem look to be at the file  “/home/nutanix/data/logs/ncc_log_collector.log”. It has actually this size (14 and 6 GB):

$ allssh du -h ~/data/logs/ncc_log_collector.log
================== 192.168.150.92 =================
5.7G /home/nutanix/data/logs/ncc_log_collector.log
================== 192.168.150.94 =================
14G /home/nutanix/data/logs/ncc_log_collector.log
================== 192.168.150.96 =================
238M /home/nutanix/data/logs/ncc_log_collector.log

the file don’t show error, only INFO. It safe to delete it ?? can I delete it using “rm /home/nutanix/data/logs/ncc_log_collector.log” or I need other way ??

PS: Nutanix version 2019.02.11 LTS and  NCC Version: 3.7.1

thanks and attentive.

Hi vhs,

Yes - you can delete that file as it’s a log bundle.  if you have a recent support case with nutanix, you can download that log-bundle to your computer and then delete it off the cvm.

cd into :

cd /home/nutanix/data/logs/

then

rm ncc_log_collector.log

BR

PS : It will be good if you can upgrade ncc via Prism > Upgrade software to the latest version.
