I’m having trouble with MCS and AHV.  The power status of the VM’s on the nutanix host does not update. If i shut down a VM from Citrix Studio, It will shutdown, but the power status shows “On” Causing alot of trouble. When running a Machine Catalog test im getting this error:

Make sure that the selected Virtual Machine exists.

The VM exists in the Hypervisor.

Test run on entire Site

  • The VM 'vmname' was not found in the Hypervisor because of error 'ERR90017:Acropolis_Inventory: GetContent Exception:System.Exception: Request Url = https://ClusterIP:9440/api/nutanix/v2.0/vms/?offset=0&length=500 Request Body = , Request status : ProtocolError, Http Status :500, Response : {"message":"Exception while retrieving entities : Error occurred while getting VM list: Request failed when executing remote operation vmGet: VM kNotFound: Unknown VMs: cd6a5b4b-bf8f-4548-b4da-e16d659a8dac, 135ea927-9837-4bf6-819d-50ceb9523325, 0a0f6e38-3664-4d01-ab45-e0afa633f3e2, d93505c9-9459-43fb-835d-a0c539149868, 1267c8f0-0428-4043-b147-54322d0a1605, 14d8c44f-caa5-4c9b-960e-ec95b72ecf45, 942b474c-c97f-4983-a99d-135a4fe51bab, b138f201-a683-4725-be9a-2985ad713add, 6343591a-aec6-4b6b-b104-aad3a0a4eb59, 989aa8cc-d197-4f2c-9a84-90175c9831d6, 881a7c0c-7cbb-4407-88bc-af2cbe710b5e, 32246dec-c3d0-4834-b50a-dc86bfcacddf not found","detailed_message":"Exception while retrieving entities : Error occurred while getting VM list: Request failed when executing remote operation vmGet: VM kNotFound: Unknown VMs: cd6a5b4b-bf8f-4548-b4da-e16d659a8dac, 135ea927-9837-4bf6-819d-50ceb9523325, 0a0f6e38-3664-4d01-ab45-e0afa633f3e2, d93505c9-9459-43fb-835d-a0c539149868, 1267c8f0-0428-4043-b147-54322d0a1605, 14d8c44f-caa5-4c9b-960e-ec95b72ecf45, 942b474c-c97f-4983-a99d-135a4fe51bab, b138f201-a683-4725-be9a-2985ad713add, 6343591a-aec6-4b6b-b104-aad3a0a4eb59, 989aa8cc-d197-4f2c-9a84-90175c9831d6, 881a7c0c-7cbb-4407-88bc-af2cbe710b5e, 32246dec-c3d0-4834-b50a-dc86bfcacddf not found","error_code":{"code":1202,"help_url":"http://my.nutanix.com"}}, Exception :System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error. at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.GetResponse() at NTNXVMProvisioning.PrismConnection.ResultFromHttpRequest(String requestUrl, String requestHeaderString, String jsonData, String clusterIp, HttpRequestType requestMethod, IDictionary`2 requestHeaders, String contentType, Int32 httpRequestTimeout) at NTNXVMProvisioning.PrismConnection.ResultFromHttpRequest(String requestUrl, String requestHeaderString, String jsonData, String clusterIp, HttpRequestType requestMethod, IDictionary`2 requestHeaders, String contentType, Int32 httpRequestTimeout) at NTNXVMProvisioning.PrismConnection.ConnectNutanixGETAsString(String requestUrl, String requestHeaderString, String clusterIp) at NTNXVMProvisioning.AHVPrismVMInterfaces.GetVmsListInfo(PrismConnection prismConnection, Credentials credentials, Int32 pageLength, Int32 offset, String filter) at NTNXVMProvisioning.AHVPrismVMInterfaces.GetVmsDetailsV2(PrismConnection prismConnection, Credentials credentials, String filter) at AcropolisProvisioningPlugin.AcropolisService.GetContents(ConnectionSettings connectionSettings, String path)'.
The referenced VM does not exist in the Hypervisor. Delete the phantom database records using Remove-ProvVM.

Do you still have the original master image @Frank_ ?

Quick fix is to remove the computer catalog and create a new one. Takes arround 1 minute and a couple of seconds. ;)

Keep in mind to not delete the snapshots from the master image. If your OCD want to have less snapshots read my blog post: https://www.jeroentielen.nl/cleaning-up-vm-snapshots-on-nutanix-without-breaking-citrix-mcs/
