Nutanix with Cisco Catalyst 9300

We are planning to connect 2 stacked Catalyst 9300 to a Nutanix Cluster. While doing research I found a document recommending the Nexus 9300 and specifying that the Catalyst 9300 wouldn't meet requirements for the Data Center. There was no reasoning for this and I would like to know why the Catalyst 9300 switches are not recommended.
Thanks in advance,
Ingrid

Hello Ingrid, maybe I have the same doubt. We would like to buy catalysts 9300 to connect on Nutanix (using more SFP+ ports).
I see inside of this documentation about the catalysts and nutanix:

https://portal.nutanix.com/#/page/docs/details?targetId=Web-Console-Guide-Prism-v58:wc-network-visualizer-supported-switches-r.html

But no have a documentation saying: The catalyst 9300 are the recommend switch to interconnect Nutanix.

Anybody can provide for us this information?

You can see the information regarding physical switch recommendations and the technical reasons behind them here:

Nice Alexbo you got the point. Thanks for your followup
I have set up multiple sites using the Catalyst 9300 (Mfg. Part#: C9300-48UXM-A) with the 8 port 10G expansion module (Mfg. Part#: C9300-NM-8X=). To connect the hosts to the switches I use Cisco SFP+

Twinaxial Cables (Mfg. Part#: SFP-H10GB-CU1M=).

I hope this helps.

If you get 2 X Cisco C9300-24UX-E the all of the RJ45 are 10gb-T and you can have a stack the two switch.

or Two of the C9300-48UXM-E then you will have port 37-48 10GB-T and you can also stack the two switch.

all of the Nic card of port-1 go to top switch and the port-2 goto the Bottom switch.
