Hi All,

 

I am very new to Nutanix. I am looking to size our environment on Nutanix platform which is currently on VMware. I am looking to size 50TiB of storage in the Nutanix cluster(3 node cluster at beginning) and how many disk are need for achieving so. The cluster will be all NVMe. Does Nutanix need cache disk for All NVme cluster as well like VSAN OSA or it’s same as VSAN ESA. 

I will be very grateful for any suggestions or link for correct documentation.

Hey there, no cache disk needed. I’d recommend running Collector on the current environment and leverage that information to size the cluster in Sizer. Alternatively, you can use RVtools.

Collector Instructions:

  1. Download Collector: https://portal.nutanix.com/page/products?product=collector
  2. Open Collector and select Prism/vCenter/Hyper-V, enter the host IP and credentials for the environment.
  3. Select “Connect” and then “Collect”.
