Hello all, I just realize that it is available IBM HCI servers with Power9 processor together with Nutanix. As far as I can understand from the documentation it is only for AIX and Linux workloads? Hi all :) i want to Setup a small Files on my nested (esxi) CE Enviorment for testing and Demo purposes. I am able to install the Base Packages by modifing the json Metadata. AFS Version tried so far: 2.2.4, 3.6.1, 3.6.1.1 AOS Version: 2019.02.11 Installation works without Problems. But when i want to Setup the Server i get the following Error after completing the last Step in the Setup: File server spec validation failed, unknown error I allready give 12GB more RAM per Node to 60 GB/Node. And i checked all Netwoks, IPs, DCs, NTP-Servers and Gateways. Besides the CVMs with 24 GB there is only one Windows VM running with 4GB RAM. Has someone an Idea what this can be? Thanks :)
I’m trying to reconfig my ip addresses for the cvm but i cannot find the external_ip_reconfig script anywhere. Do I have to download this from the site?
Attempting to add the Hyper-V feature to a fresh Server 2016 VM. I receive the message: "Hyper-V cannot be installed because virtualization support is not enabled in the BIOS" After picking through some very limited search results I attempted to modify the VM using "cpu_passthrough=true", however the error remains. Any advice to get this working? Thanks Andy
Having an issue updating the Nutanix AHV MCS Plugin. I have a Citrix farm that has been upgraded to 7.1906 and I downloaded the latest AHV MCS plugin 2.5.1.0 from Dec 2019. When executing the msi it recognizes the previous version and states it will update. then the install fails saying Citrix XenDesktop 7.9 or higher is required. This farm was previously 7.15 CU3. I also tried to uninstall the Nutanix Acropolis MCS Plugin version 1.0.0.0 that is on the server and it fails to uninstall as well with same message. Any helpful hints or suggestions appreciated.
Hi, I am having a Hyper-V cluster managed by a SCVMM with Kerberos enabled. I already did: Join the cluster and hosts to domain Create the MSFC and join to domain Add hosts and Nutanix container share to SCVMM Enable Kerberos and configure Delegation But, from each host, I currently cannot: Access to Nutanix container via SMB path (\\VIP\container). When I type the SMB path into file explorer, it requires me to login. I tried to use the AD account used to enable Kerberos on Prism as well as AD admin account but could not make it Create the VM (I could create the VM by using SCVMM instead). “Failed to create the virtual hard disk” error window appears every time I try to create Is this the normal behavior of the whole system? As I am quite new to Hyper-V, I am getting lost in finding the solution to solve it
Dear Sir/ Madam, I am working on a further Nutanix project and I have installed 8 x NX8155 servers. Each server has 6 x 10g TwinX cables and 2 x CAT6 copper connections. I am again trying to find any suitable cable manager due to the amount of physical cabling for each device. Can someone please advise if there are any cable managers that Nutanix is aware of or via a third party as I am struggling to locate any. Thanks in advance. Simon.
We are currently considering implementing NearSync for a DR with an RPO of 15 minutes. Is there still a cluster limit of 40TB in 5.16? Hi there, I’m a network guy and this is my first time post here. Sorry if I broke any forum rule. We are having some issue with vServer host on Nutanix, and I would like to see if any experts here can tell the solution of the problem from nutanix stand-point. We have nutanix setup as LACP and connects to two nexus switches(5000) by using virtual port-channel. Sometimes mac address of vServer showed incomplete on arp table in one of the switches, not only one vServer. Then we finally realized that if we shutdown one port of the switch, which mac address incomplete in arp table, the vServer started to work immediately. After we executed no shut, the issue was back again. We checked the issue from switch stand-point, but couldn’t find any issue. Is anyone know the issue can be related to Nutanix? Thank you.
When i try to connect to IPMI by clicking on the link in Prism Central i get an error stating the site can not be reached because it timed out. It seems to be related to the firewall maybe. Any information where to start? thank you

I have AHV cluster at both DC & DR, which has number of VMs being protected with Protection Domain feature. These VMs are being replicated from DC to DR in scheduled manner. Now as a part of DR drill, I need to run these production VMs from DR for period of time and then again make it functional from DC once drill is over. I am concerned over how the delta changes made during drill with VMs at DR will be again replicated back to DC as Protection Domain replication is uni directional (DC to DR) ? Any recommendations ?

I am trying to make changes to the "extra_flags" option on a VM. I have 2 issues. Is there a way to remove and "extra_flag" added to a VM? Also is there a way to specify the CPU model. I see there is a way to do it in KVM, but not sure how it works in Nutanix. I am trying to do nested virtualization, but for some reason nested VMs don't boot due to the xsave/xsaveopt feature it seems. The host is quad SandyBridge CPUs, but it worked when I specified the CPU model as Westmere. Anyone else have this issue or have an idea of how to specify the features passed through?
Hello, I have a personal Lenovo Thinkserver, which has a 4 Seagate 2T Disk (3 of them are formed Raid 5) and 3 SSD (256G+128G*2). I don't want to lost my personal data. Is that possible to install the Community Edition on the specified Disk 256G SSD + 1 Seagate 2T HD for testing purpose?
