We are currently considering implementing NearSync for a DR with an RPO of 15 minutes.

The restrictions that backup tools like rubrik or netbackup cannot take normal snapshots when nearsync is active should be solved in 5.9 or not?

Sum up, I think that there isn't more limit of the 40 TB through node. About I didn't find out nothing.
