  • Upgrade Path Made Simple
    Direct in-place upgrade from Move 5.6.0. Versions 5.4.x and 5.5.x can still move forward through migration.

⚠️ Known Issues (To Keep in Mind)

  • Secure Boot VMs may require VirtIO 1.1.7 before cutover.

  • Some NGT installations may downgrade VirtIO versions (fix in progress).

  • Specific issues persist with vSAN 6.5, Hyper-V differencing disks, and Azure Ultra SSDs as OS disks.

  • A handful of migrations (e.g., AHV → AWS, Files migration states) require manual workarounds or retries.

📝 Notes

  • Nutanix Move now reserves 172.17.0.0/16 and 172.18.0.0/16 for internal services.

  • New permissions are required for ESXi source migrations, including Cryptographic Operations: Direct Access.

  • Supported VirtIO version: 1.2.4.
