AOS 7.3.0.1 is here — a refinement release that polishes your experience with improved stability, sharper compatibility, and critical bug fixes. It’s everything you love about AOS, made even smoother.

Review the detailed release notes before deploying any product updates.

🌟 What’s New

  • One Small Fix. One Giant Leap for Stability.

    • Resolved a rare but critical issue that caused Stargate and Curator services to fail on deduplication-enabled clusters after upgrading to AOS 7.3.

⚙️ Bundled Software

  • AOS 7.3.0.1 ships with:

    • NCC 5.2.0

    • NGT 4.3

    • Foundation 5.9

    • LCM 3.2

    • Flow Network Security 4.2.1

🛠️ Resolved Issues — Fast. Reliable. Resilient.

  • 🔧 Stargate stability restored. Previously, enabling deduplication could crash key services — now resolved.

🚧 Known Issues — Heads-Up So You’re a Step Ahead

AHV Management

  • Post-upgrade, cluster CPU features may downgrade

  • NIC deployment errors using v4 API

  • Flash mode toggle may fail with volume groups

Data Replication & Protection

  • Force delete tasks may hang

  • Snapshot replication quirks with NearSync

  • Manual VM recovery may omit NIC

Prism & NGT

  • Web console may fail under high load

  • NGT service may fail post-upgrade

Infrastructure & Services

  • On-disk deduplication may auto-disable on large fresh deployments

  • VM memory changes round up on AHV

Networking

  • Virtual switch updates may fail if launched from Prism Central

📦 Upgrade Essentials

  • Use Life Cycle Manager (LCM) via Prism to upgrade.

  • V3 VM APIs are not supported in Prism Element. Stick with Prism Central.

  • Host-based reservation is deprecated—switch to segment-based.

  • VLAN Discovery is disabled by default for safety.

  • Compatibility with NetBackup 8.2 requires an EEB from Veritas.

✅ Feature Support by Hypervisor

Whether you're running AHV, ESXi, or Hyper-V, AOS 7.3.0.1 brings robust support across critical features like:

  • Self-service restore

  • Async DR with NearSync

  • VM roles and RBAC

  • vGPU, vNUMA, and whole-node maintenance mode

(For full compatibility, check the matrix in the Support Portal).

Hello, where do I download the Nutanix ISO 7.3 from?

It isnt an iso.  Run lcm on your cluster and upgrade to 7.3. Or download it via portal.nutanix.com
