When deploying Nutanix Objects on ESXi, is NSX-T essential?

Dears:

I have a POC plan to deploy Nutanix Objects on ESXi, on the Objects guide, it mentioned “The minimum supported version of NSX-T is 2.4.” I want to know if we do not use NSX-T, is it OK to deploy Objects?

How to implement IPAM? Will Nutanix implement it by itself?

Thanks!

Hi, Lin,

No, NSX-T is not required to deploy Nutanix Objects in VMware vSphere, what is meant is if y want to deploy Nutanix Object on VMware vSphere cluster managed by  having NSX-T then it should be min version 2.4.

Nutanix object is supported on VMware and AHV clusters only.

OK. Thanks. So IPAM is implemented by Nutanix Objects if I want to plan on VMware, right?
