Nutenix to Azure NC2 migration help required

Hello,

I have some hands-on experience with Nutanix AHV. Currently, we are starting a project that involves a full migration of our Nutanix environment from on-premises infrastructure to Azure NC2.

I have been searching for an official step-by-step guide or a recommended migration workflow, but so far I have not been able to find a clear document that explains the correct process for planning and executing this migration.

Could anyone please share documentation, best practices, or a high-level migration flow for moving workloads from Nutanix AHV to Azure NC2?

Any guidance or references would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Do you have layer 2 connectivity to Azure?

I’m currently planning NC2 on OVHCloud

Yes anything required we will implement. Just wanted to know the flow
correct me if i am wrong as we have Nutanix on-prem.

Azure Marketplace
       ↓
Subscribe NC2
       ↓
Login cloud.nutanix.com
       ↓
Register Azure account
       ↓
Deploy NC2 cluster on Azure bare-metal
       ↓
Select Azure VNet + Subnet (underlay network)
       ↓
Create Nutanix VLAN networks in NC2 (for VMs)
       ↓
Setup connectivity between sites (VPN / ExpressRoute)
       ↓
Login to On-Prem Nutanix Prism
       ↓
Configure Remote Site (NC2 cluster)
       ↓
Replication / Migration of VMs

That’s correct.

I would setup a vpn without express route, setting all up and as last step express route. But that’s more out of a cost saving part during the setup and testing period if you don’t have the express route yet.

and using prism central.
