I have setup an instance of Move and am able to login with the default username of nutanix along with the password I created to log into the web portal of Move. However when trying the same credentials in the CLI under “move login” the creds return invalid. I have also tried the default “admin // nutanix/4u” to no avail.
Am I missing something?

It sounds like you’re trying to use the Move UI credentials with the move login command from the VM console, but that command is meant for the Move CLI environment, not the appliance shell itself.
If you are already logged into the Move VM console, you usually don’t need to run move login there. That command is typically used when accessing the Move CLI from another system.
From the Move appliance console you should already have access to the Move commands once logged into the VM.
You can verify the Move services are running with:
move status
If you actually want to use the Move CLI, make sure you're running the command from the Move CLI context, not just the Linux shell of the appliance.
Also confirm the Move services are healthy. If they aren’t running properly, authentication attempts can fail.
If it continues to reject credentials, it would help to see:
move version
move status
and please confirm whether you're running the command from the Move VM console or from another host.
