How many Ubuntu Pro licenses are required for a Nutanix cluster? Do we only need to license the Nutanix cluster nodes, or do we also need to purchase separate Ubuntu Pro licenses for each virtual machine running on the cluster?

For nutanix itself you dont need ubuntu licenses.

What I’m really looking for is input from someone with experience upgrading virtual machines from regular Ubuntu to Ubuntu Pro within a Nutanix cluster. Specifically, I’m wondering how the licensing works in that scenario—do you license only the physical cluster nodes, or does each virtual machine require its own Ubuntu Pro license?
