Hello,

I am a newbie with Nutanix. Recently, at work, we acquired an NX-1065-G5 with 3 nodes.

We currently have Nutanix Community Edition (CE) installed on an HP workstation with a 3-node cluster. We would like to migrate to the newly acquired NX-1065-G5. What would be the best way to approach this migration, and how does the Nutanix CE installation differ between the HP workstation and the NX-1065-G5?

Install CE on it. See: https://www.jeroentielen.nl/repurpose-old-nutanix-hardware/

Then use data protection to migrate the virtual machines to it.

Thank you for the quick reply Jeroen. I will check the link you provided.

Jeroen,

What are your recommendations about installing Nutanix CE on an AOL hardware.

EOSL for NX-1065-G5 was 10/2023. It will mainly be used for Data protection. Right now, I have Prism central configure with remote site to Nutanix CE. Thank you in advance for your help.

The best way to do the migration will be Nutanix Data Protection.
