Hi TeamI am trying to automate the VM creation through Powershell Cmdlets. I can see there are two different version of Powershell Cmdlets are present https://portal.nutanix.com/page/documents/details?targetId=PS-Cmdlets-AOS-v6_6:ps-ps-cmdlets-c.htmlFrom the document, I observed that Powershell 2.0.1 supports execution of these cmdlets from Ubuntu and Mac along with Windows which is not the case in first version. The first version is only works from a Windows machine. But there is a significant difference between the Powershell Cmdlets present in V1 and V2.Can you please let me know do we have any limitation wrt Cmdlets if we use V2 or we can do all the operations that can be done by V1? If V2 have certain limitation then do we need to use the SDK or API in order to automate the task? Thanks

HI TeamI have installed the necessary softwares to execute Nutanix Powershell Cmdlets from my MAC. But while executing Connect-PrismCentral cmdlets it’s throwing the below error. Prism Central IP is correct in the command and ping to this machine is also working. I can able to access the Prism Central web UI also.PS /Users/maharanaak> Connect-PrismCentral -Server X.X.X.X -UserName admin -AcceptInvalidSSLCertscmdlet Connect-PrismCentral at command pipeline position 1Supply values for the following parameters:(Type !? for Help.)Password: ************Connect-PrismCentral: Error from X.X.X.X: Could not connect. Hi,Title was of course 2402/2430, not 2404/2430 🙃Having an issue in my home lab… The issue at handI had Nutanix CE2 running on this machine for more than a month. However, due to odd crashes and false positives with disconnect issues on the vs0 configuration (I guess), I figured I would attempt a complete reinstall, having used DP to backup all VMs to another Nutanix CE2 setup. I believe I made a configuration error at some point.However, re-installing with all the exact same devices and settings, I’m faced with this:InstallerVM timeout occurred, current retry 0Please take a look at installer_vm_*.log inside foundation logs to debug hypervisor installation issuesAfter which it will restart the process.I’ve found somewhere near 2 other examples of this, stopping at the same progress [2402/2430], but I can’t figure out the solution.Maybe someone can tell me how to actually find that installer_vm_*.log, as I couldn’t find it anywhere. The SetupMotherboard: MSI B550M PRO-VHDCPU: AMD Ryzen

Below are the detailed system versions and the error messages encountered.AOS and AHV Versions: AOS: 192-168-75-10: 6.8 J901TNBT (ThinkAgile HX630 V3 CN): 6.5.3 J901TNBV (ThinkAgile HX630 V3 CN): 6.5.3 AHV: 192-168-75-10: ? J901TNBT (ThinkAgile HX630 V3 CN): AHV el7.nutanix.20220304.385 J901TNBV (ThinkAgile HX630 V3 CN): AHV el7.nutanix.20220304.385 The installation fails at the "ImagingStepProvisionNetwork" step with an error message indicating a "Timeout (240s) in waiting for events ['provision_remote']". This seems to cause a cascade of failures in subsequent installation steps, preventing the process from completing.I have verified the current IP addresses and potential conflicts via arp-scan, but this has not resolved the issue.Has anyone encountered this type of issue or have any suggestions on how to resolve it ?

Hi - We have a requirement to install CE on an HPE DX380a Gen11 server. We have downloaded the phoenix-ce2.0-fraser-6.5.2-stable-fnd-5.3.4-x86_64 iso and connected this the the virtual CD drive on the HP server and done a one time boot from CD.The CE installer starts to run but then always errors at the following screen:- We have tried disabling max power mode changing to OS Control and downloaded the ISO a couple of times also. The server has 4 drives which looks to be a CE limit so hopefully we are ok with that. This is the first time we have tried to install CE but now not sure what else to try to get this installedAny help gratefully receivedThanksGuy Bannister

Hi TeamI am trying to install Nutanix CE in Vmware Fusion. I am using the Nutanix CE iso and CentOs7(64 bit) for doing this setup. But when I am trying to start my VM getting the below screen without any error. For me the Nutanix AHV setup screen is not coming at all. I am struggling a lot to identify the issue. Really appreciate for your efforts in advance. 1.What are the pre-requisites to create a K8 cluster on 5 nodes on-Prem cluster?2.How to deploy the K8 cluster?3.How to manage?​​​​​​​4.Is separate license subscription required for K8?  

this is my first test install with single node cluster, I cannot access web apge, I am getting below error. I am using Chrome version 126.0.6478.62 to browse to web site.172.21.192.61 normally uses encryption to protect your information. When Chrome tried to connect to 172.21.192.61 this time, the website sent back unusual and incorrect credentials. This may happen when an attacker is trying to pretend to be 172.21.192.61, or a Wi-Fi sign-in screen has interrupted the connection. Your information is still secure because Chrome stopped the connection before any data was exchanged.You cannot visit 172.21.192.61 right now because the website sent scrambled credentials that Chrome cannot process. Network errors and attacks are usually temporary, so this page will probably work later.

Are there any way to create and maintain storage (files, volumes, and objects) declaratively in Nutanix Prism Element?Nutanix has a Terraform provider for Prism Central but it does not cover Prism Element.

Hi,I recently created a new Nutanix CE, single node cluster to play around with.Installation went fine, no issues As per the Nutanix recomendation, post install, I ran Inventory (Updated LCM), then perfomed updates to NCC, Foundation and AOS, individually. AOS went from 6.5.2 to 6.5.5.7 on the LTS Path via automated LCM updates. I then Direct Uploaded the LCM Image for AOS 6.7.1.8 STS (lcm_nos_6.7.1.8.tar.gz) which successfully upgraded to 6.7.1.8 STS. After running an Inventory, so LCM could find the latest supported version of AHV, the time came for the AHV Upgrade. Everything seemed to be going ok, until the reboot (after the AHV upgrade in progress screen). Logging back on to the CVM and looking at the LCM page, I get the following error related to the AHV upgrade. “Operation Failed. J’ai installé Nutanix CE sur mon serveur, l’installation s’est bien déroulé. je suis sur la page Prism via mon navigateur web. Ne pouvant pas connecter mon serveur à internet, est-il possible de se connecter à son NEXT Credenriais. Ou y-a-il une autre interface qui me permettrait d’utiliser l’outil sans connecter mon équipement à internet ? Réseau local 

Morning All, I’ve just commissioned a new cluster using AOS 6.8.0.1 in an air-gapped environment. Prism Element and Prism Central only shows storage in “physical” capacity and usage etc. I’d ideally like the logical view available also, anyone seen this before, is there an easy fix? Thanks in advance

I would like to upgrade to ESXI 8 U2. I wanted to see if the Lenovo HX3320 Appliance (ThinkAgile) - Type 7X83 is considered HX Series v2 or v3 as listed in the support article:https://portal.nutanix.com/page/documents/details?targetId=vSphere-Admin6-AOS-v6_8:vsp-esxi-support-vsphere-c.html Also, when I go to LCM, I cannot see any STS releases. Are there upgrade steps from 6.5 LTS to 6.8 eSTS? Or do you need to manually upload the install package?   

We just purchased our first sets of Nutanix hardware, and I’d like to power up and play with them a bit before our initial configuration. So I am looking for the procedure to factory reset 8150-G9’s and 8170-G9’s -thanks, Cliff

I have just completed the initial deployment for the Nutanix-CE on a Single Node. Upon running cluster status command i see several services are down.
