Dell R720 CE installtion

Hi,

don’t have tried on this model but my CE Node is pretty old (S2600WTTR) so I would give a try on a Dell R720.

If you have at least 3 disks (1 for hypervisor and 2 for CVM/Data) and a compatible NIC it should be OK

Oh that good to hear , i have one 128 Gb, couple of 512Gb and 1Tb disk installed on my R720 but not sure how to deal with the RAID config and suddenly installation got terminated.

You should disable RAID adapter or bypass it

I’ve one, need to bypass it… making all disks in JBOD mode works fine in my case.

i tried that too but get this kinda issue. 

Had the same issue at first install try, linked with the RAID adapter.

Fix the RAID configuration and you succed.

what’s the configuration in your case ? can you remove it ?

I tried to disable it but it did not work or i might not aware how to do it correctly. I tried multiple setting but it didn’t worked for me atlast i tried making RAID 0 and installion moved aheada and stucked here. 

Are you able to setup a JBOD mode instead of RAID ?

unfortunately card doesn’t support JBOD. I think i have to drop the plan for now.
