I’m having trouble with network connectivity on a new installation of CE. The FAQ on this site says to login as root and run a command to repair the installation but I can’t find a listing for the root password.

The default password for root (is an ahv user) is nutanix/4u

That’s what I thought but it’s not working. I’m attempting to connect to the server console itself since I’m not able to SSH to either IP address due to the network connectivity issue.

Just reinstall the node. That would be easier and faster.

Thanks for the response but I’ve done that twice. Is there a default ‘root’ password for logging into the server console directly?

nutanix/4u is the default root user password. And the root user is for the console. So directly on ahv. The password is all lowercase and the slash is a forward slash.

Thank you. that appears to work.
