Dear All,

I’ve have a question about a licensing of the AOS (ROBO per per VM).

Environment: vSphere7 (vCenter7 + 2-node ESXi clusters). Basically, fresh Nutanix cluster with HA feature enabled is hosting x4 “service” Virtual Machine:

As far I understand CVMs don’t need to be covered by the ROBO license, but what about a vCLS? How AOS is qualifies vCLS: as a service or a “standard” VM?

Also, do I need ROBO license for the powered-off VMs?
Regards,
Dominik

I have the same question, but I see we have no response 1 year on.

Hi, I got official statement of the Nutanix Support that vCLS VMs should be covered by ROBO license. Also, powered-off and CVM VMs not require a lic.

Hi All,

a successor for the old ‘AOS ROBO’ Licensing now also available for new Portfolio (2.0) Licensing.

Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI-Edge):

https://www.nutanix.com/library/datasheets/nci-edge

  • Starter/Pro/Ultimate License Levels
  • Maximum 96GB MEM for a single VM
  • Maximum 25 VMs per Edge Cluster
