The NCM-MCI 7.5 beta program has reached capacity.
Today we are introducing the Nutanix Certified Master – Multicloud Infrastructure (NCM-MCI) 7.5 Beta exam, designed to validate advanced skills in optimizing, troubleshooting, securing, and managing enterprise environments running on the Nutanix Cloud Platform. As the highest-level certification in the Multicloud Infrastructure track, the exam measures a candidate's ability to solve real-world infrastructure challenges while aligning platform capabilities with business requirements.
Unlike traditional certification exams, the NCM-MCI 7.5 Beta consists of 17 hands-on scenarios completed in a live Nutanix multi-cluster environment, giving you the opportunity to demonstrate practical expertise across administration, automation, security, and disaster recovery.
What Skills Are Measured?
The NCM-MCI 7.5 Beta exam is organized around five advanced skill domains:
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting
- Optimize & Scale
- Security
- Design Implementation
- Business Continuity
You can expect to work with Prism Central, Nutanix APIs, CLI tools, Flow networking and security, and disaster recovery technologies. The exam focuses heavily on real-world problem solving rather than theoretical knowledge.
Key skills include:
- Diagnosing performance issues, interpreting alerts, running health checks, collecting logs, and creating custom reports and monitoring dashboards.
- Planning cluster growth, applying workload-specific best practices, optimizing VM and storage configurations, and automating administrative tasks using APIs and Playbooks.
- Implementing security controls such as RBAC, network segmentation, Flow Network Security, authentication, certificate management, Syslog integration, and encryption.
- Configuring storage, networking, resiliency, and availability features to meet business requirements, including VPCs, load balancers, VM high availability, and data resiliency settings.
- Creating and troubleshooting protection policies, replication configurations, recovery plans, and disaster recovery workflows that meet application RPO and RTO requirements.
