Today we are introducing the Nutanix Certified Professional – Artificial Intelligence (NCP-AI) 7.5 Beta exam, designed to validate the skills required to deploy, configure, administer, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain enterprise AI environments using Nutanix technologies. The exam measures a candidate’s ability to deploy and manage Nutanix Enterprise AI (NAI), configure AI services and endpoints, support large language model (LLM) workloads, monitor platform health, and integrate AI-powered applications into production environments.

The NCP-AI 7.5 Beta exam is intended for professionals with experience in virtual infrastructure, cloud native technologies, Kubernetes, and Linux administration. Successful candidates typically include IT and AI Administrators, ML Administrators, Engineers, Operations and DevOps Engineers, Developers, Support Engineers, Solution Architects, Cloud Engineers, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, System Integrators, and Value-Added Resellers (VARs). Candidates should also have foundational knowledge of virtual infrastructure, cloud services, GPUs, and Kubernetes administration concepts.

What Skills Are Measured?

The NCP-AI 7.5 Beta exam is organized around five key skill domains:

  • Deploy Core Components
  • Configure and Validate the Platform
  • Perform Day 2 Operations
  • Perform Operational Troubleshooting and Diagnostics
  • Connect Applications

Candidates are expected to demonstrate knowledge of Nutanix Enterprise AI (NAI) 2.8, including platform deployment, user and security administration, model management, endpoint delivery, monitoring, troubleshooting, and AI application integration. The exam assesses practical skills required to operate enterprise AI environments securely and at scale.

Key skills include:

  • Preparing AI environments by validating deployment prerequisites, understanding NAI architecture, performing preflight checks, configuring storage, installing NAI in connected and air-gapped environments, and securing deployments with DNS, certificates, and TLS encryption.

  • Configuring and validating the platform through user onboarding and role-based access control, identity provider integration, importing large language models (LLMs), creating and managing AI endpoints, managing API keys, deploying MCP servers and AI gateways, and delivering AI services to consumers.

  • Performing Day 2 operations by connecting applications to NAI endpoints, monitoring endpoint performance and utilization, analyzing access activity and audit events, managing API consumption, optimizing inference performance, and selecting appropriate AI models, guardrails, embeddings, and reranking strategies.

  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing operational issues by monitoring infrastructure utilization, validating endpoint health, analyzing cluster health failures, troubleshooting model imports and endpoint creation issues, resolving connectivity problems, and identifying resource constraints involving CPU, memory, storage, and GPUs.

  • Connecting AI applications by integrating OpenAI-compatible APIs, validating application and endpoint configurations, enabling use cases such as chat, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and agent-based workflows, and monitoring performance metrics, latency, request volumes, and token consumption.
