NCP-CN Certification Overview
Our new cloud native certification measures your ability to deploy, configure, optimize, and perform administrative tasks on a Nutanix Kubernetes Platform (NKP) cluster. NKP is a fully turnkey solution built on pure upstream Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) conformant Kubernetes. To help prepare for this exam, we recommend completing the Nutanix Kubernetes Platform Administration (NKPA) course.
NKPA Course Overview
This course teaches you how to deploy, configure, and manage NKP. You will learn:
- NKP Fundamentals: Understand key terms and concepts, installation in air-gapped and non-air-gapped environments, and licensing of NKP clusters.
- Lifecycle Management: Configure infrastructure, workspaces, and clusters; create projects; and perform upgrades.
- Access Control: Set up identity providers, create groups, manage roles, and bind them to workspaces and projects.
- Platform Applications: Learn about out-of-the-box platform applications such as monitoring, logging, and security and how to deploy them.
- Cluster Protection and Restoration: Understand how to protect NKP clusters and restore applications running on them.
- Logging & Monitoring: Enable and scale the NKP logging stack, restrict logging to specific namespaces, and configure Grafana for cost monitoring, visualizations, and alert rules.

The NCP-CN exam is now open for scheduling, with exam appointments starting on Tuesday, April 22. You can schedule your exam for remote proctoring or in-person at a testing center. Be sure to read the NCP-CN Exam Blueprint Guide for more information about the exam, including exam objectives and references, and complete the NCP-CN Practice Exam to assist in your preparation.
