I must upgrade a cluster from AOS 5.15.5 to AOS 6.10.
The cluster owns legacy license that are already under maintenance. Do I need to convert them to the new Portfolio ?
I prefer to keep the legacy license because the cluster is highlty use and I am not want to a one or three PC VM.
I think the conversion is not mandatory but I can’t find the official documentation.
Thanks for any answer.

Hello Julien,
Regardless of the AOS version you're upgrading to, you can still use the legacy license.
The banner for conversion to PnP 2.0 has already been updated on the portal for users. If you proceed with the renewal, the license will be automatically converted from Legacy to P2.0, and also when you purchase new license, you will be receiving P2.0 license. This depends on the Account Type.
Therefore, I recommend checking with your respective Nutanix Account Team for clarification.

Hey Julien, a software upgrade for a cluster shouldn’t ever impact or be hindered by the Nutanix licensing.
We sometimes recommend to unlicense the cluster until it is in its final state while you make hardware and software changes and then reapply the licenses so the systems are synced with the latest expiration dates from your license inventory.
As Nischitha said, your account team will know your best route for licensing conversions since they have visibility to your long term use case goals with the environment.
Feel free to reach out if you need assistance with any of this.
