This question came to mind when i was exporting a VM . Where the OVA file is actually stored?
because i didn’t get to choose the storage container where the OVA file will exported to?

+8I think (assumption) that it is in the same container as the source VM/vDisk.
+2I believe because the exported OVA may contain sensitive data in an unencrypted format the exported OVA most likely resides in a secured NDFS which you will not have direct access to “NutanixManagementShare”; however from within the OVA dashboard, you have options to "Deploy as VM", "Download", "Rename" or "Delete" so you are able to "Download" the OVA to an accessible location of your choosing.
+8When creating an OVA it will be placed in the same storagecontainer as where the original virtual machine is stored. It will be in a hidden folder:
/<storagecontainer_name>/.ova/<ID>/<ID> (Here it is placed during creation)
/<storagecontainer_name>/.file_repo/<ID> (Here it is placed where ready)

You are precisely correct; I had found the .ova directory empty the compelted OVA appliance files do in fact reside in the .file_repo directory!
