I have taken a bare metal server backup which is running windows server 2016. need to to know Nutanix VM support this kind of backup. if not how can i restore bare metal backup.

I don’t think there is any issue restoring BMR Backup to Nutanix VM. its depend on the Backup software . I had restored Netbackup & Rubrik BMR on Nutanix Without any issues.
Incase of AHV you need to make sure VertIO drivers need to be installed in source server. othere wise you need to inject it.
