We have a customer running the following Nutanix cluster setup:

1 cluster with 4 nodes – Dell XC650 model, each node with 512GB RAM
2 clusters with 4 nodes each – Dell XC640 model, each node with 768GB RAM

The customer plans to deploy VMs with 64GB and 128GB memory configurations.
Could you please confirm:

Is this a supported configuration for VM deployment on the mentioned clusters?
Will deploying VMs of this size cause any performance impact on other workloads in the cluster?
What are the best practices or guidelines to follow in this scenario to ensure optimal performance and resource utilization?

how many CPU socket each node has ?
what is application you will run on top of those VMs?!

I would say engage Nutanix presales for advice.

but keep in mind that CVM should be powerful enough if you have intensive application traffic (Memory and CPU)

And design a VM's memory and vCPU to stay within a single NUMA node if that VM runs a non-NUMA-aware application.

and consider for a node failure resources (enable HA reservation) so you will not get surprised one node goes down and you don't have free space (free enough) for your large VMs.

Thank you for the response @jamali.ahmad  .

Each node has 2 sockets

Basically, a memory intensive finance gateway application

Yes, HA reservation is enabled.

And design a VM's memory and vCPU to stay within a single NUMA node if that VM runs a non-NUMA-aware application. - How do I make sure this?
