Hi all,

I recently performed a fresh installation of a Nutanix cluster using three nodes, all based on the HPE ProLiant DX380 Gen11 12LFF platform.

As part of the pre-deployment steps, prior to imaging the nodes using Foundation VM (foundation version was 5.7.1), I upgraded the firmware on all three servers to Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) version 2025.05.00.00. This firmware version was explicitly referenced in the Nutanix installation prerequisites and compatibility documentation for this hardware generation.

The SPP upgrade was completed successfully via iLO on all nodes, and I validated the firmware version through the iLO web interface post-upgrade.

Following the firmware upgrade, I proceeded with the node imaging using Foundation and successfully deployed the cluster without any issues. Once the cluster was operational, I launched LCM > Inventory and ran Perform Inventory to validate component versions.

However, LCM still reports the installed SPP version across all hosts as 2024.04.00.00, rather than reflecting the updated 2025.05.00.00 version that is currently installed on the hardware.

For context:

  • AOS version: 6.10

  • AHV version: el8.nutanix.20230302.102001

To assist with further analysis, I have attached supporting screenshots showing the discrepancy between the iLO-reported firmware and what is shown in LCM.

this picture is clear that im using the right version

and somehow on LCM it shows that the version is 2024.04.00.00
i check on hpe support web, the shown version is far below the latest one

Can you advise on whether LCM is expected to recognize firmware updates applied manually via iLO, and if there are any additional steps required to force metadata sync between LCM and iLO/IPMI? Also, is this a known limitation or bug with the current LCM or AOS version?
