Is it possible to change VM UUID

I wanted to change VM UUID due to some technical reason, could you please help me for the same.

No that is not possible. What is possible is changing the bios uuid. (acli vm.update <vm_name> bios_uuid=#######

Can you expain why you want to change the vm uuid? Is it for data protection purposes? Or for backup purposes?

This is only when AHV is used. As far as I know it can be done in ESXi.

Ran into the same issue with a VM to an off site copy that has an app that uses the VM ID for the license key
