The customer I currently support has a pair of Nutanix clusters running on the Dell PowerEdge XC630-10 harward platform. They have really enjoyed the performance and overall gain (simplicity of the design, reduction in administration/alerts, etc.) since moving to the Nutanix platform.
The topic of a server refresh has arisen, and we're beginning to collect all the different metrics we will need to analyze to support this effort. After that's done, though, the planning and designing will begin.
In the past, I've used the Nutanix Sizer. That since seems to be locked away behind a Nutanix/Partner Login page now? Does this still exist? Is there one that supports the Dell hardware platform line?
Any other workload sizing resources for the theoretical migration planning would be much appreciated. Thanks, in advance!

The one thats locked behind a login page now is "Sizer 2.0" which has the ability to size all sorts of workloads and use models from all 3 OEMs (NX, Dell XC, and Lenovo HX).
There was a customer version which was based on Sizer 1.0, and is actively in the process of being re-launched, should be up in the next few weeks AFAIK.
I'll ping the team that manages that.

Thanks for the quick response, !
I'm assuming something like the release of the public sizer will be an announcement I could be looking out for?
I appreciate your help!

There should be an announcement on the public site when its ready to roll. link will be here: productsizer.nutanix.com
That may let you take a sneak peak at it, but I do believe there is still an active development sprint wrapping a few things up before the launch, so things are subject to a bit of change.
Note: Even when it does launch, the "Free" version of the sizer is not intended to have all of the capabilities of the one that NX/Dell/Lenovo SE's use, so if you really want to get into the weeds, you can collaborate with your account team and work a bunch of different scenarios at.

We have a revised version of productsizer, free for prospects to use that will be re-launched in a few weeks. If you have an immediate sizing need that can't be handled with a Nutanix partner, you can directly access the new version of product sizer at productsizer.nutanix.com.

Hi, Is it launched for other OEM's as well?
Are you asking about the free one vivekds? or our internal one?
If Internal, yes, we have everything in there. Not sure about the free one. jlaunier can comment.

vivekds -- at this point the public version of the sizer only supports the NX-series. We can connect you offline to your inside sales team who can help you with other OEMs if you need and don't have access to the internal/ partner version.
