Hi. I am new to Nutanix. Our first cluster was pre-configured. We use two internal NTP appliances at the time, and we just purchsed a third. I was logging in to configure it and noticed some oddities.
- It appears first that I had to set add the new NTP server both to prism central and element. After I added it to Element this command on a CVM was accurate “ncli cluster get-ntp-servers”
- However the AHV hosts do not appear to get this new server from either prism central or element.
- “sudo chronyc -n sources -v” confirmed the original 2 ntp servers were the only ones configured. I added the third and restarted chronyd and it showed up now and is syncing
- however moving on to the 2nd and 3rd AHV host, the chrony conf is much different. It has the ntp server as the first ntp host? Was this a mistake on part of the installer? I would assyme it should have the exact chroyd.
