For teams moving from VMware to AHV, what has been the biggest surprise - good or bad?

Less FTE needed to maintain the environment ;)

I had a similar experience. One of the biggest wins has been the reduction in operational overhead. Prism Central consolidates many day-to-day management tasks, and features like one-click lifecycle management and integrated monitoring simplify routine operations.

That said, the biggest adjustment wasn't the hypervisor itself. It was adapting operational processes. Teams coming from vSphere often need to rethink familiar workflows, networking concepts, and automation practices rather than learning AHV.

For those who've completed the migration, what took the longest to adapt: networking, automation, backup integration, or simply changing long-established operational habits?
