Hi there, I need some explanation about fault tolerance in a particular situation.The configuration is one 4-nodes block with each nodes configured with 2 SSDs and 4 HDDs. Also Fault Tolerance FT=1 is configured.In that case, how many disk/node are protected ?
We noticed that Kubernetes is still in beta version on Prism central. The latest 1.25.6 version is generating an unuseable kubeconfig file which prevents any possible management of the cluster. Also the user rights and roles to create a Kubernetes cluster seem to be mangled which limits the cluster creation to the admin user only. Are there any user who implemented their own Kubernetes cluster by VM's ?
Food for thought - If Nutanix wanted to grab more market share and with Broadcom taking over VMWARE, would VMWARE customers be interested in AHV as a hypervisor in a non hyperconverged environment? I know it goes against the grain of what Nutanix wants to offer (Hyperconverged) but for some smaller customers with only a few nodes it is a very productive solution with the big hit on disk in a 3 node cluster.

We have an Oracle EBS web server on IBM AIX. Server storage is obtained through the Nutanix Files service. The observation is as follows: Our users have reported repetitive disconnections while working on the application since migrating server storage from old FC storage to Nutanix Files "ISCSI" storage. We followed many leads like timeout settings, patch and update Apache WEB server version and JVM ... until we come to the conclusion that after the connection of more than about 90 users, the disconnection problem arises.I wanted to know, if there are any recommendations, workaround for an Apache WEB server with non FC storage such as Nutanix Files?

Dear All,New to Nutanix Frame here. Hence, please just let me know if I left out any essential information.We are running a non-persistent account on Frame. We noticed that AD objects that are related to instances that have been removed from the Frame account, e.g. by manually terminating them from the Status page, remain in AD. The expectation would be that these would be purged automatically. We used the Nutanix Frame AD Helper to verify that the service account does have the necessary permissions. Also, we are seeing that new machines are being created without issues.
I am curious why when sizing a Splunk workload and increasing the performance profile for the indexers it doesn’t increase the ingest rate per indexer rather than keeping it at 100 GB. By not doing this, it keeps the same number of indexers Nutanix thinks it needs even though each indexer has more CPU/RAM. I find that I am stuck between a rock and a hard place all of a sudden. I have been using the original Nutanix PowerShell cmdlets (Add-PSSnapin NutanixCmdletsPSSnapin) for weekly inventory scripts. I also have a script for deploying new VMs from images that use these cmdlets. Our production Prism Central is pc.2022.6.0.3 and I can still login to that just fine (Connect-NTNXCluster). However, we are having numerous issues with that build and support has advised they have been resolved in the newest build pc.2023.1.0.1. We have a test Prism Central instance with one test AHV cluster. Yesterday we updated that to pc.2023.1.0.1 and now I cannot connect with the cmdlets. On Nutanix cluster , our Oracle workloads are protected via Oralce Data guard. We are looking for some sort or block level replication solution to cut down the Oralce license cost for DR solutions.Does Nutanix or 3rd party application that work on Nutanix cluster have any DR replication (block level) solution for Oracle and SQL server workloads with point in time recovery?I don’t think the protection domain is suitable for Database workloads. Please suggest DR replication solution available for VMs that runs Oracle/MSSQL database workloads.
Hi, there is a need to periodically install/update new release of the application to the Frame Sandbox. Currently it is done manually.I was not able to find a way to perform app upload and onboarding/publishing remotely (via REST API). I mean the app, which does not yet exist on Sandbox.Is there any way to workaround this, so that every app release could be automatically deployed to Frame account using CI/CD pipeline (e.g. Jenkins + python script)?Any idea is appreciated.
HCI runs on ESXi hosts, and VMs are protected with Async Protection Domain. I wonder, how to find which host a recovered VM will be registered with? I guess, it’s a certain service “leader”? Also, can I change it?

I tried to delegate the refresh of a clone database to my USER (not SUPER-ADMIN). I created a role with [Refresh Clone] privilege and i configured [Entity Sharing Policies] on the object [Clone / TM] that user can manage. When building Packer images the temporary images don’t delete after completion.
